This paper critically examines Geoffrey Hodgson's recent provocative claim about Frank Knight as being a member of American institutionalism in the interwar years. In the first section of the paper the authors attempt to provide a definition of institutionalism and to emphasize its meaning from a historiographic point of view. Abstract Research indicates that using social network sites as a source for news increases perceived knowledge even if, objectively, people fail to acquire knowledge. This might result from the frequent repetition of topics in news posts caused by multiple news outlets posting about the same news topics and the algorithm that favors similar postings. These repeated encounters can have a positive effect on the perception of knowing more, even if actual learning hardly occurs. Abstract This research focuses on second-generation Korean immigrants and the strategies they used to combine two different cultures – parents' and resident cultures – in their everyday lives. Using a case to reconstruct the meaning behind the strategies employed, this study aims to identify factors that influence immigrants' development when exposed to two different cultures. To investigate this development, an autobiographical interview was conducted on a second-generation Korean immigrant in Germany. The interview was analyzed through objective hermeneutics.
