Introduction Bullying is the most common type of violence in school. Nearly one third of students worldwide are bullied, with negative physical, psychological, relational consequences for victims, perpetrators and bystanders. Students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) have difficulties in learning, perception and communication that often pose challenges for participation in traditionally organised music lessons with instruments. Embodied approaches to music education concentrate on utilising body movements to create and enhance learning. Positioning children with special educational needs in early childhood education and care documents

The article critically discusses the practice of describing children’s special educational needs (SEN) in early childhood education and care (ECEC) pedagogical documents. Documentation is understood as a form of governance. In current practice, documentation is extensively used in educational institutions. Even when the focus of documentation should be pedagogical, the descriptions of children’s SEN commonly describe a child’s individual deficits as a source of educational problems. In this study, we used discourse analysis to investigate how professionals position children and construct their SEN in pedagogical documents. Artykuł dotyczy charakterystyki działań podejmowanych wobec ucznia wybitnie zdolnego. Pierwsza część artykułu porusza kwestie związane z identyfikacją zdolności oraz ich uwarunkowań. Dotyczy również czynników umożliwiających na możliwie szybkie rozpoznanie predyspozycji, które w przyszłości pozwolą na osiąganie ponadprzeciętnych wyników. Druga część artykułu charakteryzuje potrzeby ucznia zdolnego oraz trudności związane ze specyfiką pracy z tą grupą uczniów. Zawiera także opis czynności, które powinny być podjęte wobec ucznia zdolnego w procesie kształcenia.

Perceived Opportunities for Physical Activity and Willingness to Be More Active in Older Adults with Different Physical Activity Levels

This study examined equity in physical activity (PA) by investigating whether perceived opportunity for PA was associated with willingness to be more active. Among community residents (75, 80, or 85 years old, n = 962) perceived opportunity for PA (poor and good), willingness to be more active (not at all, a bit, and a lot), and level of PA (low, moderate, and high) were assessed via questionnaires. Multinomial logistic regression showed that physical activity moderated the association between poor opportunity and willingness to increase PA.
