Abstract DATA (6-Amino-1,4-diazapine-triacetate) and AAZTA (6-Amino-1,4-diazapine-tetracetate) chelators represent a novel approach representing hybrid-chelates: possessing significant cyclic and acyclic character. It is believed that flexibility of the acyclic part facilitates rapid complexation, whilst the preorganized cyclic part minimizes the energy barrier to complexation and inhibits decomplexation processes. The ring-closing metathesis (RCM) reactions of dienylpyrazoles have been employed in the synthesis of pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyridine and pyrazolo[1,5-a]azepine derivatives. Based on this approach, the diastereoselective synthesis of potential peptidomimetics containing four amino acid residues with the second (i+1) and third (i+2) fragments having been substituted by bicyclic frameworks is described.

Pyrrole (2a) and 2,5-dimethylpyrrole (2b) react with the dialkoxycarbenium tetrafluoroborates 1a-1c under kinetic control to yield the corresponding acylpyrrole derivatives. 5H-Dibenz[b,f]azepine (9a) and the 10,11-dihydro derivative 9b react only with the most electrophilic of the series of electrophiles tested, namely, diethoxycarbenium tetrafluoroborate (1a), to furnish the corresponding formyl derivatives. Similarly, in arene chemistry, the highly electron-rich N,N-dimethylaniline (13a) and 1,3,5-trimethoxybenzene (13b) are formylated by reaction with 1a.

Chemical Composition of the Essential Oils ofPistacia atlanticaDesf.

The chemical composition of the three essential oils obtained by hydrodistillation of the resin, leaves and fruits of Pistacia atlantica Desf. (Anacardiaceae) was studied by GC and GC/MS. Monoterpene hydrocarbons constituted the main chemical group in the resin oil, with α-pinene (42.9%) and β-pinene (13.2%) as the major components. Oil of the fruits contained high amounts of oxygenated monoterpenes, with bornyl acetate (21.5%) as the major component, while oxygenated monoterpenes and sesquiterpenes were found to predominate in the oil of leaves among which terpinen-4-ol (21.7%) and elemol (20.0%) were the most abundant components.

Abstract The volatile constituents obtained from the aerial parts of Teucrium polium were analyzed by GC and GC/MS. The oil was found to contain 37 components, of which 30 were identified. We describe a 12-year-old girl with Langer-Giedion syndrome (tricho-rhino-phalangeal syndrome type II) who also had vertebral malformations. Chromosome analysis identified an interstitial del(8q): 46,XX,del(8)(pter leads to q22::q234 leads to qter) as a cause of this syndrome.

Bieżący artykuł bada źródła satysfakcji z pracy. Wieloźródłowe badanie zostało przeprowadzone w dwóch formach: jako kwestionariusz online ( n =642) i jako kwestionariusz papierowy ( n =635). Żeby ujednoznacznić pomiar zmiennej zależnej (zadowolenie z pracy), wykorzystano dwa źródła jej pomiaru: samoocena badanej osoby oraz ocena przez ważną inną osobę. Wyniki pokazują, iż ocena przez bliską osobę może być wartościowym źródłem informacji o samoocenie badanej osoby.
