Change management in the entrepreneurial Latin‐American organizations: an overview

Purpose – The purpose of this article is to provide an introduction to the papers presented in the special issue.Design/methodology/approach – Six papers are included in the special issue and an overview of their content is given.Findings – Alteration in markets that is brought about by economic, political and cultural changes often makes it difficult for business organizations to adapt to new circumstances. The papers focus, in a Latin American context, on how technological networks are changing the business world, the role of entrepreneurialism, and the positive effects of change management.Originality/value – The article introduces the six original and well‐presented papers.

Objeto: El objetivo del presente artículo es conocer si existen diferencias en las variables que explican la intención de emprender de los estudiantes universitarios de Ciencias de la Actividad Física y el Deporte atendiendo a la formación y al género de éstos. Purpose: To identify the current research trends regarding knowledge transfer and the university-business relationships during the period 2013-2016 in the journals indexed in ISI Web of Knowledge. Entrepreneurial success and human resources

PurposeThis paper aims to determine factors that have an influence on human resource management and entrepreneurial success in the context of European innovative small and medium‐sized enterprises (SMEs).Design/methodology/approachA primary test questionnaire was tested with 50 Spanish entrepreneurs. However, research is needed to understand the relationship between those indicators and the way individual and organizational factors contribute to it over time. We add to this literature by considering performance and wellbeing as indicators of sustainable careers. Daily deliberative dissonance acting among police officers.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to gain insight into the relationships of daily deliberative dissonance acting (DDA) with daily strain and daily work engagement. DDA refers to the deliberate acting of emotions to achieve one's work goals. The authors hypothesized that daily DDA would be positively related to strain through feelings of emotional dissonance. How does sponsorship of a high-involvement sports event mark the sponsor brand? An application to public institutions

The study examines brand awareness, recall and bonding between the brand and the sponsored event, event involvement, value and the reputation of the institutional brand, as well as the perception among local attendees, using the Trinidad Alfonso Marathon celebrated in Valencia (Spain). A sample of 507 attendees (runners and viewers) was obtained and the results showed the relevance of the transfer of the perceptions of the sponsored activity to the institutional brand.
