The article discusses the difficulties of diagnosing speaking skills in the situation of matriculation examination, resulting from the specific nature of spoken language varieties and texts implementation in these variants. Factors that should be taken into account when formulating criteria for assessing speech and conversation exams are: complex and holistic structure of spoken speech, transience of audible text, the spontaneity of live speech, the power of nonverbal codes, a significant stigma of a dialog, and the influence of situational context on the course of communicative interaction. Bakalaura darba tēma ir “Stāstu izmantošana runāšanas prasmju attīstīšanā” Darbs veltīts mācīšanas metodēm un aktivitātēm, kas ar stāstījumu palīdzību veicina runāšanas prasmju attīstību. Pētījuma mērķis ir noskaidrot, vai skolēni ar stāstījumu palīdzību var attīstīt savas runāšanas prasmes. Bakalaura darbs sastāv no divām daļām. Research has proved that high school students have problems with producing longer statements on their own. It has in spired the article author's search for an efficient tool improving the speaking skills. The European Language Portfolio can serve as such a tool, because it may promote the speaking skills as well as improve the cultural and communicative competence.

Diplomdarba mērķis bija pārbaudīt, kā autentiskie video materiāli ietekmē runāšanas prasmes 8. klasē. Diplomdarba autors uzskata, ka spēja izteikt viedokli ir prasme, kuru katram studentam vajadzētu prast pielietot. Turklāt, teorijas avoti apstiprina to, ka autentiskie video var iespaidot runāšanas prasmes. Izvēlētā pētījuma metode bija atsevišķa gadījuma pētījums Valsts Ģimnāzijā. Datu vākšanas metodes bija anketa, pašvērtējuma lapa skolēniem un vērtēšanas kritēriji, ko dokumentēja darba autors. Lai pārbaudītu autentisko video ietekmi, tika novadītas 3 stundas. W artykule prezentowane są wyniki jakościowej analizy zadań dydaktycznych z wybranych podręczników do nauczania języka polskiego, które mają dać odpowiedź na pytanie, w jakim stopniu nauczanie formalnych aspektów języka przekłada się na rozwijanie sprawności mówienia. Tekst składa się z trzech zasadniczych części. W pierwszej krótko omówiono kluczowe dla tekstu pojęcia - kategorię mówienia oraz wiedzę językową, w drugiej przedstawiono i skomentowano wyniki analizy zadań. Trzecia część artykułu ma charakter podsumowujący.

The article discusses selected lexical units found in the dialects of Silesia, which refer to the act of speaking. It examines more than 190 tokens and collocations whose common denominator is the meaning of ‘speaking’. Analyzed are units referring to the content of the expression (with the main semantic component ‘to talk nonsense’), as well as those referring to physical aspects of the act of speaking, such as the clarity and accuracy of articulation (‘to speak indistinctly’, ‘to stutter’), the pace of speaking (‘to speak fast’, ‘to speak slowly’), also the tone, pitch, and intensity of the voice (‘to speak softly’, ‘to say shrilly’). Taksonomia sprawności słuchania i mówienia w języku polskim jako ojczystym

In their article, Marta Chyb-Winnicka and Anna Tabisz present a taxonomic approach to the teaching of listening and speaking skills in lessons of Polish as a native language. The authors show that the 2017 provisions of the core curriculum for the Polish language in primary schools in Poland put special emphasis on the development of reading and writing skills. For this reason, Chyb-Winnicka and Tabisz underline the importance of teaching the two other skills, i.e., listening and speaking, and argue that taxonomic categories should be used to systematize the knowledge of these skills.
