Theoretical Study of the Electronic Spectrum of trans-Stilbene

The electronic spectrum of trans-stilbene in the energy range up to 6 eV has been studied using multiconfigurational second-order perturbation theory (CASPT2). The study includes a geometry determination of the ground state. In all, 12 singlet and one triplet excited states were studied. The calculated spectrum makes it possible to assign the valence excited singlet states corresponding to the three bands observed in the low-energy region of the one-photon absorption spectrum. The most intense feature of the calculated spectrum corresponds to the 11Ag → 21Bu transition at 4.07 eV. The weakly allowed 11Bu state was found 0.3 eV below 21Bu. Background: Change in the prevalence of raised blood pressure could be due to both shifts in the entire distribution of blood pressure (representing the combined effects of public health interventions and secular trends) and changes in its high-blood-pressure tail (representing successful clinical interventions to control blood pressure in the hypertensive population). Nestriktās ekvivalences nestriktās klasterizācijas algoritmā

Maģistra darba mērķis ir iepazīstināt lasītāju ar izstrādātu, ERAF projekta ietvaros, klasterizācijas metodi FERC, un parādīt tās priekšrocības salīdzinājumā ar nestrikto C-means. Projekta rezultāti tiks publicēti žurnālā Springer. FERC metodē, mēs ieviešam nestrīktās ekvivalences attiecības dažādiem objekta atribūtiem, un tad mēs agregējam šīs nestriktās ekvivalences attiecības vienā, lai noteiktu objekta piederības pakāpi kādam klasterim. Darbā tiek parādīts, ka klasterizācijas procesā, katram objekta atribūtam var uzdot tā nozīmīgumu, ieviešot atribūtu svarus. Līdz šim klasterizācijas procesā, atribūtu svari netika izmantoti. Kā arī darbā tiek parādīti ilustratīvi piemēri.

This article discusses a form of lifestyle blogging where women blog about their homes and everyday lives. In these homing blogs, selfrepresentations are characteristically spatially demarcated within the private sphere of the home. As these repeated representations of women in their homes take place in the public space of the internet, homing blogs work towards naturalizing the home as a women’s sphere. The primary aim of the present study was to systematically compare perceived emotions in music using two different theoretical frameworks: the discrete emotion model, and the dimensional model of affect. A secondary aim was to introduce a new, improved set of stimuli for the study of music-mediated emotions. A large pilot study established a set of 110 film music excerpts, half were moderately and highly representative examples of five discrete emotions (anger, fear, sadness, happiness and tenderness), and the other half moderate and high examples of the six extremes of three bipolar dimensions (valence, energy arousal and tension arousal). Bakalaura darbs veltīts terminoloģijas pārneses problēmu izpētei no angļu valodas latviešu valodā ar probāciju saistītajā jomā. Pētniecības darba mērķis ir izpētīt terminoloģijas pārneses veidus, tendences, analizēt terminoloģijas ekvivalences jautājumus probācijas jomā, kā arī ieteikt ar probāciju saistītās terminoloģijas ekvivalentus latviešu valodā. Teorētisko avotu un terminu analīzei izmantota kvalitatīvā datu analīzes apkopošanas metode. Šī pētījuma rezultāti var būt noderīgi ar probāciju saistītās terminoloģijas attīstībai un probācijas darbinieku apmācībai.
Angļu valodas metaforisko juridisko terminu pārnese latviešu valodā

Gan juridisko tekstu tulkošana, gan terminoloģijas atveide no vienas valodas otrā vienmēr ir bijis izaicinājums tulkotājiem. Atrast ekvivalentus angļu valodas metaforiskajiem juridiskajiem terminiem var būt īpaši sarežģīti. Šī pētījuma mērķis ir noteikt stratēģijas, kas izmantotas, lai atrastu latviešu ekvivalentus juridiskās angļu valodas metaforiskajiem terminiem. Pētniecības mērķa sasniegšanai izpētei tika izmantota kvalitatīvā analīze, īpaši salīdzinošā metode. Bakalaura darbā tiek pētīta ar nelikumīgi iegūto līdzekļu legalizāciju saistīto terminu pārnese no angļu valodas latviešu valodā. Šī pētījuma mērķis ir izpētīt latviešu valodas ekvivalentus angļu valodas terminiem, kas saistīti ar nelikumīgi iegūto līdzekļu legalizāciju. Pētījums aptver divdesmit sešus ar nelikumīgi iegūto līdzekļu legalizāciju saistītus terminus, kuriem analizēta to etimoloģiskā izcelsme, kā arī pētīti latviešu valodas ekvivalenti. Pētījuma rezultāti liecina, ka juridiskā ekvivalence ir dominējošais veids angļu valodas terminu pārnesei latviešu valodā, uzsverot kultūras un vēsturiskās attīstības svarīgumu. Juridisko tekstu tulkošana ir viens no sarežģītākajiem tulkošanas veidiem terminoloģijas pārbagātības dēļ. Spiediens, ko ES dalībvalstsis izjūt tulkojot vietējos tiesību aktus, ir milzīgs, jo centieni izveidot vienotu ES terminoloģijas bāzi ir nepārtraukti. Juridisko tekstu tulkošanas apvienošanai ar ekonomikas nozares tekstiem neizbēgami rada problēmas. Šī maģistra darba mērķis ir noteikt un izpētīt terminoloģijas ekvivalentus, kas izmantoti Latvijas Privāto pensiju fondu likuma tulkojumā angļu valodā un noteikt vai šo terminu lietojums ir konsekvents iepriekš tulkotajos Latvijas tiesību aktos.
