Rompé tus barreras: Un análisis sobre el uso del coaching ontológico en la plataforma de entrenamiento de Nike en Buenos Aires
2020
In recent times, coaching has become relevant in heterogeneous discourses and practices in the economic, political and cultural fields of contemporary societies. Based on our ethnographic analysis of different training sessions on the Nike+ Run Club platform in Buenos Aires, in this article we study how ontological coaching operates in the field of sport and races. Then, we ask about how people who attend this platform appropriate coaching techniques to manage emotions, moods, and body effects according to the business entrepreneurship logic. Through this work, the ethnographic results are articulated with a reflection about the theory, practice, and values of the ontological coaching, wher…
Optimality of Increasing Stability for an Inverse Boundary Value Problem
2021
In this work we study the optimality of increasing stability of the inverse boundary value problem (IBVP) for the Schrödinger equation. The rigorous justification of increasing stability for the IBVP for the Schrödinger equation were established by Isakov [Discrete Contin. Dyn. Syst. Ser. S, 4 (2011), pp. 631--640] and by Isakov et al. [Inverse Problems and Applications, Contemp. Math. 615, American Math Society, Providence, RI, 2014, pp. 131--141]. In [Discrete Contin. Dyn. Syst. Ser. S, 4 (2011), pp. 631--640] and [Inverse Problems and Applications, Contemp. Math. 615, American Math Society, Providence, RI, 2014, pp. 131--141], the authors showed that the stability of this IBVP increases …
The Analysis of the Digital Economy and Society Index in the EU
2019
Abstract The paper analyzes the Digital Economy and Society Index (DESI), which characterizes the development of digital economy. Based on the data of 28 European countries for 2013–2018, using the panel regression, we studied the influence of the consumption index growth by the purchasing power parity and unemployment among the active population on the structural units of DESI. It is shown that a 1% increase in the consumption index results in about 0.2 increase in the DESI, and an increase in unemployment by 1% leads to about 0.2 DESI decline. It is also shown that the 98% value of DESI is actually determined by its previous trends, and therefore it is impossible to increase this index ra…
Investigating the Impact of Organizational Culture on Information Security Policy Compliance : The Case of Ethiopia
2021
Information security is one of the organizations' top agendas worldwide. Similarly, there is a growing trend in the kinds and rate of security breaches. Information security experts and scholars concentrate on outsiders' threats; conversely, insiders are responsible for most of the security breaches in organizations. Further, the majority of information security research findings are limited to solutions that are technically focused. However, it is now recognized that the technological approach alone does not carry the security level needed. So this led researchers to embark on socio-technical approaches. Thus, this study explores organizational culture's effect on employees' intention to c…
Dangerous relationships : biases in freshwater bioassessment based on observed to expected ratios
2018
Copyright by the Ecological Society of America The ecological assessment of freshwaters is currently primarily based on biological communities and the reference condition approach (RCA). In the RCA, the communities in streams and lakes disturbed by humans are compared with communities in reference conditions with no or minimal anthropogenic influence. The currently favored rationale is using selected community metrics for which the expected values (E) for each site are typically estimated from environmental variables using a predictive model based on the reference data. The proportional differences between the observed values (O) and E are then derived, and the decision rules for status ass…
L’innovation-valeur comme dynamique stratégique. Le cas du Pentathlon Moderne
2018
Myocardial Glutathione Alterations in Acute Coronary Occlusion in the Dog
1987
Glutathione (GSH) decreases in dog mycocardium upon acute coronary occlusion when compared with sham-operated dogs. Total glutathione content (GSHeq = GSH + ZGSSG) remains unchanged throughout the experiment (6 h after surgery) in both sham- and acute coronary occlusion-operated dogs. GSSG and GSH/GSSG ratio increases and decreases respectively in all animals but tends to reach the normal value after 6 h in sham-operated dogs. Both parameters (GSSG and GSH/GSSG ratio) remain altered in acute coronary occlusion-operated ones. This alteration of glutathione status in ischemic myocardium is discussed.
Institutionalization of Strategy and Management Accounting Change in a Cooperative Bank
2019
In this longitudinal case study, a cooperative bank’s strategy, related performance management changes, institutionalization processes, and change drivers are studied. Old institutional economics is used in explaining how organizational routines and rules change and become taken for granted. However, there are several internal and external drivers of change in the banking sector, including organizational culture and values, EU regulation, digitalization as well as communicational gaps and power relations among organizational levels affecting the success of the change process. Results indicate that in the case bank, operating in a highly institutionalized and regulated environment, not many …
Current transformers effects on the measurement of harmonic active power in LV and MV networks
2011
The harmonic active power is used to determine the location of polluting loads, the direction of harmonic power flow and to estimate how consequential a certain current harmonic source is. The highest uncertainties, when measuring harmonic active power, are introduced by the current and voltage transducers. This paper presents experimental results which show the impact of current transformers (CTs) on the accuracy of the harmonic power measurements. An expression for the evaluation of the power error in distorted conditions was developed which can be easily utilized in the case of linear current transducers. It is shown how CTs cannot be considered linear transducers and how the higher the …
Boundary value problem with integral condition for a Blasius type equation
2016
The steady motion in the boundary layer along a thin flat plate, which is immersed at zero incidence in a uniform stream with constant velocity, can be described in terms of the solution of the differential equation x'''= -xx'', which satisfies the boundary conditions x(0) = x'(0) = 0, x'(∞) = 1. The author investigates the generalized boundary value problem consisting of the nonlinear third-order differential equation x''' = -trx|x|q-1x'' subject to the integral boundary conditions x(0) = x'(0) = 0, x'(∞) = λ∫0ξx(s) ds, where 0 0 is a parameter. Results on the existence and uniqueness of solutions to boundary value problem are established. An illustrative example is provided.
