Zur Charakterisierung der Angiotensinbildung aus vier angereicherten tierischen Reninsubstraten (Rind, Schwein, Hund und Ratte) mit menschlichem Renin wurde das Temperatur- und pH-Verhalten untersucht, sowie die Michaelis-Menten-Konstanten und maximalen Reaktionsgeschwindigkeiten bestimmt.

Ein haufiges, in verschiedenen Anwendungen auftretendes Reihenfolgeproblem ist das der Bestimmung von optimalen Wegen in Netzen, wobei die Zahl der benutzten Elemente (Knoten oder Kanten) beliebig ist. Es liegt also ein Problem vom Typ B vor. Je nach der Zielsetzung kann u.a. nach kurzesten, langsten, schnellsten, kostenminimalen, risikominimalen oder gewinnmaximalen Wegen gefragt sein. Im folgenden wird, soweit nichts anderes angegeben ist, jeweils vom kurzesten bzw. langsten Weg stellvertretend fur die nach anderen Kriterien optimalen Wegen gesprochen.

Das zentrale Problem jeder Fertigungsplanung und -steuerung bildet die Maschinenbelegung. Hier wird festgelegt, wann welcher Auftrag (oder welches Produkt) auf welcher Maschine (oder Maschinengruppe, Kostenstelle usw.) bearbeitet wird. Dieses Problem ist immer dann ein Reihenfolgeproblem, wenn die Maschinenkapazitat begrenzt ist. Durch die begrenzte Kapazitat wird das zeitliche Nacheinander der Bearbeitung von einzelnen Auftragen erzwungen. Je starker die Kapazitat der einzelnen Maschinen ausgelastet ist, um so schwieriger ist die Aufstellung eines guten Maschinenbelegungsplans bzw. die Berechnung einer guten Bearbeitungsreihenfolge.

An mannlichen und weiblichen Sprague-Dawley-Ratten wurden die mechanischen Eigenschaften der Haut in Abhangigkeit vom Korpergewicht untersucht. Es wurden die Hautdicke, die bis zum Abris notwendige Kraft und die Reisfestigkeit gepruft. Fur jeden Parameter wurde eine mathematische Analyse mit dem Analogrechner durchgefuhrt. Die Hautdicke zeigte eine lineare Abhangigkeit vom Korpergewicht. Geschlechtsunterschiede liesen sich an der Hautdicke nicht feststellen. Die Reiskraft und noch ausgepragter die Reisfestigkeit zeigten in Abhangigkeit vom Korpergewicht einen mehrphasischen Verlauf, der in Differentialgleichungen erfast wurde. Abstract The recemization kinetics of (+)-methyl-n-propylphenylphosphine were studied in several solvents of widely varying polarity. The recemization followed first order kinetics in every solvent with approximately equal activation energies of 30 ±3 kcal/mole. The rate of racemization showed no dependence on solvent polarity and could not be correlated with any known solvent parameters. The unusually slow racemization in caproic acid and in tributyl borate were attributed to partial salt and adduct formation respectively.

Experiments on the metyrapone reducing microsomal enzyme system.

The formation of reduced metyrapone [2-methyl-1.2-bis-(3-pyridyl)-1-propanol] from metyrapone [2-methyl-1.2-bis-(3-pyridyl)-1-propanone] in the liver has been studied. Reduced metyrapone appeared as the main metabolite of metyrapone in the isolated perfused rat liver. Experiments on the intracellular distribution of the metyrapone reducing activity revealed that metyrapone reductase is mainly localized in the microsomal fraction. In the 105,000 × g supernatant only a little activity was found.

Comparison of cartesian and lobe function Gaussian basis sets

The lobe function and cartesian (spherical harmonic) gaussian are compared with reference to calculations for second-row atoms. Single and grouped gaussian basis sets which have been reported for cartesian functions are taken over directly to construct corresponding lobe function bases with identical sets of exponents and with lobe separations chosen by a scaling procedure. Es wird die pharmakologische Prufung von 1-(Dialkylaminomethyl)-tryptamin- und -tryptophol-Derivaten sowie von 2-(Piperidinomethyl)-tryptophol-Derivaten beschrieben. Die wirksamste Verbindung dieser Reihe ist das 1-(Piperidinomethyl)-benzoyltryptopholmethojodid, das am mit Doryl® stimulierten Ileum der Ratte etwa 4mal starker wirkt als Scopolamin-n-butylbromid (Buscopan®) und am mit Histamin stimulierten Ileum des Meerschweinchens gute Antihistamineigenschaften aufweist. Eine Methode zur Mikrostickstoffbestimmung wird beschrieben, die es erlaubt, mit einer dosierten Menge an Sauerstoff unmittelbar an der Verbrennungsstelle eine hochprozentige Sauerstoffatmosphare zu schaffen. Es gelingt mit dieser Methode, auch in schwer verbrennbaren Substanzen den Stickstoffgehalt bei einer Analysendauer von ca. 6 min und bei geringer Belastung der Rohrfullung zu bestimmen. Bei einer Gesamtzahl von 15 Analysen betrug der Fehler der Einzelmessung 0,17%.

Mit Hilfe des Kollektionsverfahrens unter Zusatz von Hilfssammlern konnen gas-chromatographisch getrennte Stoffe in Mikrogram-Mengen mit Ausbeuten von mehr als 90% und Mengen im Nanogramm-Bereich mit Ausbeuten uber 70% gesammelt werden. Die Sammlungsausbeuten sind unabhangig von der chemischen Natur der zu erfassenden Spurenkomponente. Als Hilfssammler bewahrt sich Dichlormethan. — Die anfallende Losung des Spurenbestandteils in Dichlormethan kann durch Mikrodestillation aufgearbeitet werden. Bei Stoffen, die oberhalb von 200° C sieden, treten dabei praktisch keine Verluste auf.

The influence of several phosphodiesterase-blocking agents on some mechanical and metabolic parameters of isolated perfused guinea pig hearts was studied in order to reinvestigate the repeatedly demonstrated close correlation between these functions. 1. In concentrations which caused 50% inhibition of the phosphodiesterase, theophyllin (1.8×10−4M), ethacrynic acid (4×10−4M) and papaverine (1×10−5M) produced positive inotropic effects by increasing the rate of contraction of the heart muscle (dp/dt). The structure of the spectrum of energy levels is discussed in some detail. Der kategorische Sinn des Wortes Sofortbehandlung kann dabei gegeben sein entweder durch die Gefahrlichkeit des betreffenden Giftes oder durch die bereits eingetretene bedrohliche Situation. Sofortmasnahmen erfordern aber nicht nur Eile, sondern ein gezieltes Handeln, wobei zugunsten der Schnelligkeit immer wieder folgenschwere Fehler gemacht werden.
