Lost Strings in Genomes: What Sense Do They Make?

We studied the sets of avoided strings to be observed over a family of genomes. It was found that the length of the minimal avoided string rarely exceeds 9 nucleotides, with neither respect to a phylogeny of a genome under consideration. The lists of the avoided strings observed over the sets of (related) genomes have been analyzed. Very low correlation between the phylogeny, and the set of those strings has been found.

ABSTRACTThe present study aimed to investigate the relations among perceived parental psychological control (PPC), autonomy and relatedness, and negative outcomes during emerging adulthood in two cultural contexts: Italy and the USA. More specifically, we explored the mechanisms through which dependency-oriented PPC (DPPC) and achievement-oriented PPC (APPC) are associated with both internalizing and externalizing difficulties, focusing on the mediating role of autonomy and relatedness. Adsorption dynamics of molecular nitrogen at an Fe(111) surface.

We present an extensive theoretical study of N adsorption mechanisms on an Fe(111) surface. We combine the static analysis of a six-dimensional potential energy surface (6D-PES), based on ab initio density functional theory (DFT) calculations for the system, with quasi-classical trajectory (QCT) calculations to simulate the adsorption dynamics. There are four molecular adsorption states, usually called γ, δ, α, and ε, arising from our DFT calculations. We find that N adsorption in the γ-state is non-activated, while the threshold energy is associated with the entrance channel for the other three adsorption states. Progress in three-particle scattering from LQCD

We present the status of our formalism for extracting three-particle scattering observables from lattice QCD (LQCD). The method relies on relating the discrete finite-volume spectrum of a quantum field theory with its scattering amplitudes. As the finite-volume spectrum can be directly determined in LQCD, this provides a method for determining scattering observables, and associated resonance properties, from the underlying theory. W artykule przedstawiono wyniki aproksymacji przykładowych danych pomiaru prawdopodobieństwa odbioru sygnału NIEBEZPIECZEŃSTWO. Prawdopodobieństwo to rozpatruje się jako funkcję odległości pomiędzy statkiem powietrznym a systemem naziemnym w ustalonych warunkach pomiaru. Aproksymację danych pomiarowych zrealizowano korzystając z własności funkcji logistycznej. Herein we would like to rise up a concern of the error correction of pronunciation in French as a Foreign Language. The results of the experimental acoustic analysis (concerning the values of acoustic vowel formants F1 and F2) enabled to precisely specify the difficulties of the experiment’s participants in a field of French vocal system. In relation to the differences of vocal systems of French and Polish language we suggest custom solutions on a didactic level. Based on verbo-tonal method for phonetic integration the error correction activities had been individually elaborated for each participant.
