Some algebras of symmetric analytic functions and their spectra

2011

AbstractIn the spectrum of the algebra of symmetric analytic functions of bounded type on ℓp, 1 ≤ p < +∞, and along the same lines as the general non-symmetric case, we define and study a convolution operation and give a formula for the ‘radius’ function. It is also proved that the algebra of analytic functions of bounded type on ℓ1 is isometrically isomorphic to an algebra of symmetric analytic functions on a polydisc of ℓ1. We also consider the existence of algebraic projections between algebras of symmetric polynomials and the corresponding subspace of subsymmetric polynomials.

2008

The reduction of salt (NaCl) content in food has become a matter of public health. However, the multiple functions of salt in food make the reduction of its content difficult. The aim of this work was to demonstrate the applicability of NMR innovative techniques in order to characterise the mobility of sodium ions (distinction between ‘free’ and ‘bound’ sodium), to bring a better understanding of the role of salt in the organisation of the food matrix (in particular phosphorous molecules in dairy systems) and to study impact of salt on the mobility of aroma compounds. In a first step, the 23Na NMR study of iota-carrageenan gels validated the quantification of total sodium (Single-Quantum, S…

2014

Tests were conducted in 2011; was studied the chance to develop two production cycles in the same year. For both cycles were used plants set up in 2010. The two production cycles were conducted during "winter-spring" and the second during the "summer-autumn". For the second cycle were used two different types of plants. Production levels reached in the second cycle were satisfying in terms of quantity and quality for both types of plants. Cumulative production amount to 70 tons/ha.

First performed in the Basilica of St. Mark on 13th September 1956, Stravinky’s Choral Variations on the Christmas Carol “Vom Himmel hoch...” (1955-56) are an original and creative reinvention of the Canon…

2019

Thomas Manns "Der Zauberberg" in der polnischen Fassung. Übersetzungsgeschichte und Nachwirkung

2017

Interactions between 2-Aminobenzothiazole and Natural Organic Matter as Evidenced by CPMAS Nitrogen-15 NMR Spectroscopy

2009

Cross-polarization magic angle spinning (CPMAS) 15N nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy was used to study the interactions between 2-aminobenzothiazole (ABT) and natural organic matter in the presence of the natural enzyme laccase and synthetic air. Through the use of synthesized model compounds, we were able to confirm previous findings by CPMAS 13C NMR spectroscopy that showed the formation of covalent amide bonds. We also provide evidence of the presence of two additional H bonds between ABT and the natural organic matter. Both H bonds involved the amino and thiazole groups of ABT.

Incantesimi in inglese antico contro un dweorg

2021

The word dweorg with the meaning ‘dwarf’ was certainly available in Anglo-Saxon England, as attested to by the earliest glossaries, such as those of Épinal and Erfurt, where it is used to render the Latin nanus and pumilio. OE dweorg also occurs in a group of five charms and medical recipes, where it seems to designate an ailment, characterized by a strong and sudden onset of fever. Particularly, in the remedies contained in the Medicina de quadrupedibus and in the Peri didaxeon – both translations of Latin medical treatises – OE dweorg means ‘fever’. In the Old English period, the semantic value of the term shifted, ending up to denote the pathological condition itself. More specifically, …
