Despite controversy over the indications of couple therapy for IPV, current research has indicated some benefits. This article examines some crucial aspects when dealing with couple therapy for IPV, such as how dominance and power abuse are present, and which important issues should be taken into account during the therapeutic process and be brought up in therapeutic conversations. It also proposes strategies for therapists conducting couple therapy for IPV. Ten studies conducted within the Jyväskylä research project on couple therapy for IPV were reviewed. Frazeoloģismu tulkošana ir viens no sarežģītākajiem uzdevumiem, ko tulkotājs var uzņemties, jo frazeoloģismi ir sarežģīti izteicieni un starp abām valodām pastāv kultūras atšķirības. Šī pētījuma mērķis ir analizēt frazeoloģismus latviešu valodas tulkojumā filmās un seriālos. Mērķa sasniegšanai tika veikta satura analīze, kurā tika analizētas sešas filmas un viens seriāls, un aptaujas pētījums, kurā tika apkopoti tulkotāju viedokļi par frazeoloģismu atveidi. Pētījumā tika konstatēts, ka visbiežāk sastopamais veids ir caurspīdīgie (transparent) frazeoloģismi un visbiežāk izmantotā tulkošanas stratēģija bija parafrāze. A mate to die for? A model of conditional monogyny in cannibalistic spiders.

Monogynous males in various species actively limit themselves to mating with a single female in their lifetime. Whereas previous models have considered monogyny as an obligate mating strategy, here we explore the potential of monogyny to evolve as a context-specific (conditional) behavior. Using a state-dependent dynamic game model based on the biology of the cannibalistic spider Argiope bruennichi, we confirm that conditional monogyny can evolve under broad conditions, including an even sex ratio.
