The crystal structure of the title compound, (C6H14N)3[Sn(C2O4)2Cl2]Cl·H2O, contains three cyclohexylammonium cations, one stannate(IV) dianion, one isolated chloride anion and one lattice water molecule. The cyclohexylammonium cations adopt chair conformations. In the complex anion, two bidentate oxalate ligands and two chloride anions incispositions coordinate octahedrally to the central SnIVatom. The cohesion of the molecular entities is ensured by the formation of N—H...O, O—H...O, O—H...Cl and N—H...Cl interactions involving cations, anions and the lattice water molecule, giving rise to a layer-like arrangement parallel to (010).

Abstract This chapter approaches the question of biopolitics in ancient political thought looking not at specific political techniques but at notions of the final aim of the political community. It argues that the “happiness” (eudaimonia, beatitudo) that constitutes the greatest human good in the tradition from Aristotle to Thomas Aquinas is not a “biopolitical” ideal, but rather a metabiopolitical one, consisting in a contemplative activity situated above and beyond the biological and the political. Edizione del carteggio, introduzione e note, presentada por Massimiliano Spiga y dirigida por la doctora Júlia Benavent, ofrece la edición de 170 cartas inéditas relativas a Giovanna d’Austria, hija del emperador Fernando I y de Anna Jagellón de Polonia, recibidas y emitidas por ella y conservadas en el fondo Mediceo del Principato en el l’Archivio di Stato di Firenze.
