Bakalaura darba tēma ir “Sākumskolas skolēnu izziņas darbības aktivizēšana latviešu valodas stundās 3. klasēs.” Bakalaura darbu veido trīs nodaļās. •Pirmajā nodaļā tiek izmantota teorētisko avotu apkopojošā analīze- psiholoģijas un pedagoģijas zinātnieku atziņas par izziņas aktivitāti, tās attīstību. •Otrajā nodaļā tiek apskatīts jautājums, kā latviešu valodas stundās pēctecīgi attīstīt sākumskolas skolēniem 3. klasē izziņas darbības. Electrophysiological evidence for the effectiveness of images versus text in warnings

AbstractWarning sign plays an important role in risk avoidance. Many studies have found that images are better warnings than text, while others have revealed flaws of image-only warning signs. To better understand the factors underlying the effectiveness of different types of warning signs (image only, text only, or image and text), this study adopted event-related potential technology to explore the differences at the neurocognitive level using the oddball paradigm and the Go/No-go paradigm. Intégrer des informations en escamots dans les textes techniques : quels effets sur les processus cognitifs ?

Though computerized sytems now offer a wide range of options for accessing and displaying text or text-picture information, little is known about their effects on the user's cognitive processes. In this paper, we investigate the effect of a computer-specific display (pop-up window) which consists in displaying some pieces of information in windows that appear only under user's action. Experiments were carried out to compare the pop-up window device with other devices used on paper. The experiments dealt with text only as well as text-picture documents and involved various tasks. Results are discussed from a theoretical and a practical point of view.

Reflective and Impulsive Processes Underlying Saving Behavior and the Additional Roles of Self-Control and Habit

Using a dual-process framework, the aim of this research was to investigate the associations between reflective and impulsive processes and saving behavior. Self-control and saving habit were tested as additional factors that potentially moderate the relationship between constructs representing reflective and impulsive processes and behavior, or exert indirect effects on behavior through these systems. A community sample of 594 participants completed measures of saving intention, buying impulsiveness, trait self-control, saving automaticity, and propensity to save money. Objective: The objective of our study was to evaluate the effect of olanzapine treatment on selected cognitive functions in patients suffering from schizophrenia during an observation period of six-months. Subjects and methods: Twenty patients with a diagnosis of schizophrenia according to ICD-10 criteria for research were examined. Project-Based Learning: A Case for Situated Translation

The author proposes replacing the folk theoretical ‘conduit’ view of learning that still predominates in Translator Education with a principled understanding of cognitive and learning processes for the design of learning events in Translator Education. A collaborative, project-based educational experience is presented by way of illustration. In conclusion, an argument is made for studying collaborative learning events to gain insight into the multi-facetted nature of the learning process as well as of the translation process itself.
