Esta investigación tiene como objeto elaborar un instrumento que permita el análisis de las imágenes, de los libros de texto de Educación Física (en adelante EF), en las cuales no aparece la figura humana o aparece sin realizar actividad física. El instrumento se dividió en cuatro dimensiones: a) características técnicas de la imagen, b) otras imágenes relacionadas con el personaje, c) otras imágenes relacionadas con la actividad física y d) otras imágenes. The aim of the present study is to determine the treatment given to the pictures of the body and physical activity in Physical Education’s textbooks for Primary School. The sample consists of 997 images of nine textbooks published by five publishers. A descriptive analysis was performed on the variables gender, age, race, and somatotype that refer to the body, and type, scope, space, and level of practice referred to physical activity. Results show that stereotypes still remain regarding the body and physical activity, emphasizing the male, white, thin and youth body that practices sports and motor skills. Abstract The first photoelectrochemical study of semiconducting YH 3− x films formed by etching bulk Y metal in 0.5 M H 2 SO 4 solution is reported. The formation of semiconducting hydride having an indirect optical band gap, E g opt , of about 2.35 eV is confirmed by in situ photocurrent spectroscopy. The photoelectrochemical behaviour of such a phase was investigated both in alkaline and in acidic solutions. The flat band potential was estimated to be U fb =−1.25 V/NHE, independent of pH.

The aim of this paper is to investigate how the correlation properties of a stationary Markovian stochastic processes affect the First Passage Time distribution. First Passage Time issues are a classical topic in stochastic processes research. They also have relevant applications, for example, in many fields of finance such as the assessment of the default risk for firms' assets. By using some explicit examples, in this paper we will show that the tail of the First Passage Time distribution crucially depends on the correlation properties of the process and it is independent from its stationary distribution. POSTER: Optimizing scientific file I/O patterns using advice based knowledge

Before us, other works have used data prefetching to boost applications performance [1]–[8]. Our approach differs from these works since we do not rely on precise I/O pattern information to predict and prefetch every chunck of data in advance. Instead we use data prefetching to group many small requests in a few big ones, improving applications performance and utilization of the whole storage system. Moreover, we provide the infrastructure that enables users to access file system specific interfaces for guided I/O without modifying applications and hiding the intrinsic complexity that such interfaces introduce.
