A novel MUC1-glycopeptide–BSA conjugate vaccine with a specifically fluorinated Thomsen–Friedenreich antigen side chain at Thr6 was prepared. Preliminary immunological experiments reveal specific binding of the tumor-associated glycopeptide antigen analog by anti-MUC1-mouse antibodies.
Structure−Dynamics Coupling between Protein and External Matrix in Sucrose-Coated and in Trehalose-Coated MbCO: An FTIR Study

We performed FTIR measurements on carboxy-myoglobin (MbCO) embedded in a sucrose−water matrix to study the degrees of freedom coupling between protein and external matrix in such a system. The work was undertaken on the light of recent results by Giuffrida et al. (J. Phys. Chem. B 2003, 107, 13211−13217), who evidenced, in trehalose-coated MbCO, a structured water−sugar environment of the protein, tightly coupled to the heme pocket structure. Such information was obtained through a suitable analysis of the temperature dependence of the CO stretching and of the water association bands in samples of different content of residual water. Komunikācijas procesā ir neiespējami izvairīties no idiomām. Pat ja cilvēkiem nav vajadzība zināt angļu idiomas, daudzi tomēr mēdz ar tām saskarties skatoties Holivudas filmas. Šī bakalaura darba mērķis ir izpētīt idiomu lietojumu dažādās amerikāņu filmās saistībā ar biržas brokeriem no 1983. līdz 2013. gadam, un noskaidrot, cik labi latviešu auditorija tās izprot. Pētījumā izmantotās metodes teorētiskajā daļā ir literatūras apskats, un praktiskajā daļā – biežuma analīze, diskursa analīze un aptaujas pētījums. Darba tēma ir diskursa iezīmētāju (DI) tulkošana subtitru dialogos. Darba mērķis ir analizēt filmas "8 rue de l 'humanité" DI un izpētīt galvenos tulkošanas procesus subtitros. Šī darba mērķis ir izpētīt DI franču valodā un krievu valodā un kā tie parādās subtitros. Darba uzdevumui ir: 1) izpētīt teoriju par subtitru izmantošanu, 2) izpētīt tulkošanas metodes un stratēģijas, 3) veikt novērojumu, 4) formulēt hipotēzi, 5) izpētīt diskursa iezīmētāju tipoloģiju, 6) piemērot DI tipoloģiju filmas "8 rue de l 'humanité" subtitru analīzei, 7) DI empīriskā analīze filmas subtitros, 8) identificēt dažādus DI veidus un izmaiņas to tulkojumos subtitros, 9) izdarīt secinājuma. Abstract Both density functional theory calculations and numerous experimental studies demonstrate a variety of unique features in metal supported oxide films and transition metal doped simple oxides, which are markedly different from their unmodified counterparts. Lai sasniegtu mērķi, tiek izvirzīti šādi uzdevumi : izpētīt audiovizuālā teksta būtību, to veidus un veikt teorētikso analīzi par audiovizuālo tekstu tulkošanas iespējamām stratēģijām.
