Pulsed Direct liquid Injection ALD of TiO2 Films Using Titanium Tetraisopropoxide Precursor

Abstract TiO 2 thin films are grown by pulsed direct liquid injection atomic layer deposition with rapid thermal heating using titanium tetraisopropoxide and water vapor as precursors. The ALD growth rate is constant in the saturation zone range 35-47 ms at the temperature deposition of 280 °C. The TiO 2 growth rate of 0.018 nm/cycle was achieved in a self-limited ALD mode. SEM and AFM analysis showed the as-deposited films have a smooth surface with a low roughness. XPS analysis exhibited the stoichiometry of TiO 2 in the homogenous depth composition.
Hot carrier effects in n-MOSFETs with SiO2/HfO2/HfSiO gate stack and TaN metal gate

Charge trapping and trap generation in field-effect transistors with SiO2/HfO2/HfSiO gate stack and TaN metal gate electrode are investigated under uniform and non-uniform charge injection along the channel. Compared to constant voltage stress (CVS), hot carrier stress (HCS) exhibits more severe degradation in transconductance and subthreshold swing. By applying a detrapping bias, it is demonstrated that charge trapping induced degradation is reversible during CVS, while the damage is permanent for hot carrier injection case. © 2008 Elsevier B.V. Characterization of a pulsed injection-locked Ti:sapphire laser and its application to high resolution resonance ionization spectroscopy of copper

A high repetition rate pulsed Ti:sapphire laser injection-locked to a continuous wave seed source is presented. A spectral linewidth of 20 MHz at an average output power of 4W is demonstrated. An enhanced tuning range from 710-920 nm with a single broadband mirror set is realized by the inclusion of a single thin birefringent quartz plate for suppression of unseeded emission. The spectral properties have been analyzed using both a scanning Fabry-P´erot interferometer as well as crossed beam resonance ionization spectroscopy of the hyperfine levels of natural copper. The mechanical properties of composites in the fibre direction are mainly attributed to the fibre slenderness, or aspect ratio. A trade-off between performance and processability is usually required, and dependent on the intended application. If the fibre length could be retained or not severely degraded during various processing steps towards the injection-moulded component, a stiffer and stronger composite product could be obtained. An experiment was conducted in which injection of KA, a neurotoxic drug analog of glutamate, was made into the entopeduncolar nucleus (EN), the equivalent of the medial globus pallidus of primates, to observe the modifications produced on the spontaneous amygdaloid bioelectric activity and on the evoked AD.
