"Izrādes sabiedrība" attiecas uz Gija Debora un situacionistu ideju kopīgu izvērtēšanu un argumentētu sasaistīšanu. Simulācijas un hiperrealitātes koncepcijas aptver Žana Bodrijāra darbus. Par teorētisko atskaites punktu tiek izvēlēta kritiskās teorijas tradīcija. Nie wszyscy zdają sobie sprawę z tego, że szkolne podręczniki historii to dla wielu ludzi jedyne książki historyczne, z którymi mieli styczność w ciągu swojego życia. To stwierdzenie powinno zachęcać do systematycznego monitorowania zarówno treści, jak i obudowy dydaktycznej tego rodzaju opracowań. Direct chemical grafted curcumin on halloysite nanotubes as dual-responsive prodrug for pharmacological applications

Covalently functionalized halloysite nanotubes (HNTs) were successfully employed as dual-responsive nanocarriers for curcumin (Cur). Particularly, we synthesized HNT-Cur prodrug with a controlled curcumin release on dependence of both intracellular glutathione (GSH) and pH conditions. In order to obtain HNT-Cur produgs, halloysite was firstly functionalized with cysteamine through disulphide linkage. Afterwards, curcumin molecules were chemically conjugated to the amino end groups of halloysite via Schiff's base formation. In the last years, the development of nano-formulations for cancer treatment represents one of the major challenges of the scientific research. The prodrug strategy, that combines chemotherapeutic agents with nanocarriers such as halloysite nanotubes (HNTs), is a promising strategy both to improve the biological activity of the drug molecules and to reduce the side effects of drugs. Herein we report the synthesis and characterization of a HNTs prodrug based on 1,2,3-triazole units covalently linked to HNTs external surface, bearing different positively charged moieties, which could present interesting pharmacological activities.

Reflexions on Mahler: Dessins, Modularity and Gauge Theories

We provide a unified framework of Mahler measure, dessins d'enfants, and gauge theory. With certain physically motivated Newton polynomials from reflexive polygons, the Mahler measure and the dessin are in one-to-one correspondence. From the Mahler measure, one can construct a Hauptmodul for a congruence subgroup of the modular group, which contains the subgroup associated to the dessin. In brane tilings and quiver gauge theories, the modular Mahler flow gives a natural resolution of the inequivalence amongst the three different complex structures $\tau_{R,G,B}$.
