MathCheck is a web-based tool for checking all steps of solutions to mathematics, logic and theoretical computer science problems, instead of checking just the final answers. It can currently deal with seven problem types related to arithmetic, logic, and syntax. Although MathCheck does have some ability to perform symbolic computation, checking is mostly based on testing with many combinations of the values of the variables in question. Il presente articolo è dedicato al confronto tra l’uso del gerundio in italiano e spagnolo; a differenza di quanto si potrebbe pensare a prima vista, la loro corrispondenza formale non implica un identico uso sintattico. La divergenza principale è data dal gerundio predicativo, molto diffuso in spagnolo e agrammaticale in italiano, divergenza che è dovuta a una differente evoluzione sintattica risalente ai primi secoli delle lingue romanze. Comparing the Effect of Product-Based Metrics on the Translation Process

Characteristics of the translation product are often used in translation process research as predictors for cognitive load, and by extension translation difficulty. In the last decade, user-activity information such as eye-tracking data has been increasingly employed as an experimental tool for that purpose. In this paper, we take a similar approach. Impacts des réseaux viaires sur les mobilités urbaines : quelques illustrations

This research aims to find the impact of the network shape and structure on the urban mobilities, in order to fight against the automobile dependency and to include the externalities in the network design. Three examples illustrate this objective. The first one shows the influence of the network shape on the pedestrian urban flows. The second one emphasizes how sensitive to the network structure is the efficiency of a very flexible Demand Responsive Transport. The third example demonstrates that the network metric is favourable to the automobile and how it can be possible to apply an alternative metric, called the “slow metric” to reduce the urban sprawling and the automobile dependency.

Oprócz leksyki języka fachowego, składnia jest jednym z czynników najbardziej odróżniających go od tekstów tzw. języka ogólnego. Duże nasycenie terminologią, użycie wyrażeń nominalnych i inne charakterystyczne dla języka fachowego cechy sprawiają, że jest odbierany jako bardziej konkretny, precyzyjny i ekonomiczny. W rozdziale podjęto próbę kompaktowej prezentacji specyfiki składni niemieckojęzycznych tekstów fachowych i najważniejszych tendencji w niej obserwowanych.
