MicroRNAs and their role in the malignant transformation of oral leukoplakia: a scoping review

Background MiRNAs are small non-coding RNAs that regulate gene expression at the post-transcriptional level and have been associated with malignant transformation of oral epithelial precursor lesions such as oral leukoplakia. The aim was to perform a scoping review of the contemporary literature about the different roles of miRNAs during the malignant transformation of oral leukoplakia. Identification and expression of the 11β‐steroid hydroxylase from Cochliobolus lunatus in Corynebacterium glutamicum

Hydroxylation of steroids has acquired special relevance for the pharmaceutical industries. Particularly, the 11β-hydroxylation of steroids is a reaction of biotechnological importance currently carried out at industrial scale by the fungus Cochliobolus lunatus. In this work, we have identified the genes encoding the cytochrome CYP103168 and the reductase CPR64795 of C. lunatus responsible for the 11β-hydroxylase activity in this fungus, which is the key step for the preparative synthesis of cortisol in industry. Upper echelons research has largely focused on the antecedents and consequences of top management teams (TMTs) from the team and firm levels of analysis. The influence of leadership styles on the internationalisation of 'born-global' firms and traditionally global-expanding firms

Leadership and internationalisation are both established areas of scientific research, yet their interplay remains insufficiently examined. The present study focuses on the former and aims to shed more light on the intersection of leadership and internationalisation. By utilising fsQCA, a qualitative comparative analysis, to a set of 437 active international firms, results suggest that under distinct conditions transactional as well as transformational leadership can lead to a high level of internationalisation for both traditional internationalising and so-called 'born-global' firms.
