Structure of N,4-dinitroaniline and its complex with sulfolane at 85 K; on the proton donor–acceptor affinity of the primary nitramine (HNNO2) group

The NNO2 group of the title compound is significantly less twisted with respect to the aromatic ring in comparison to a typical secondary nitramine. The amide nitrogen is trigonally hybridized. The nitramino group is almost planar. The C—C—N—N torsion angles vary between ca 13 and 42°, whereas the twist along the N—N bond is much smaller and amounts to between ca 1 and 15°. Those twist angles are governed by a crystal packing and are much larger in the case of crystals of pure N,4-dinitroaniline in comparison to that of its complex with sulfolane. Biferrocene Amino Acid, a Ferrocenylogoue of Ferrocene Amino Acid: Synthesis, Cross-Linking, and Redox Chemistry

Access of the novel biferrocene amino acid 7 is provided by two different routes, namely, via desymmetrization of a biferrocene and via palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling of two substituted ferrocenes. The dissymmetric biferrocene 7 is head−head coupled to ureylene-bridged bis(biferrocene) 9 and also head−tail coupled to amide-bridged bis(biferrocene) 14. The monomer 7 and the dimers 9 and 14 are oxidized to mixed-valent cations 7+, 9+, 92+, and 142+. The valencies are trapped in the solid state as shown by Mossbauer and EPR spectroscopy and by X-ray diffraction analysis of [7](I3). Abstract The reaction of Co(ClO4)2·6H2O with symmetrical N4O3 coordinating heptadentate ligand (H3L) in presence of triethylamine yielded cobalt(II) tetranuclear complexes [Co4(L)2](ClO4)2, 1. When the same reaction is carried out with sodium azide instead of triethylamine afforded tetranuclear mixed-valence Co(II/III) species, [Co4(L)2(μ1,3–N3)2](ClO4)2, 2. Here L3− is the deprotonated form of 2,6-bis[{{(1-hydroxy-2-methylpropan-2-yl)(pyridine-2-ylmethyl)}amino}methyl]-4-methylphenol. Intermediate valencies of vanadium cations appearing during oxidation of vanadium–iron spinels

Abstract The oxidation state of vanadium cations in nanosized vanadium–iron spinels at stoichiometry and at oxidative nonstoichiometry has been investigated by associating X-ray diffraction, thermal analysis (DSC), infrared and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopies. It has been established that, during oxidation, the V3+ cations present several intermediate valencies before to realize the final oxidation state +5. A comparison was made with the oxidation of V2O3.

Mērķis ir identificēt un analizēt terminoloģiskos ekvivalentus, kas apzīmē ekonomiskos nodarījumus, kas tiek izmantoti latviešu valodā salīdzinājumā ar valstīm, kā Apvienoto Karalisti, ASV un Kanādu. Pieaugošā globalizācijas ietekme pieprasa tādu terminoloģisko ekvivalentu nepieciešamību, kas nodrošinātu to pašu ietekmi un tiesiskās sekas gan oriģinālvalodā, gan mērķa valodā. Ņemot vērā pieaugošo cilvēku kustību un kapitāla apriti Eiropas Savienībā, tās likumdošanas iestādes ir pielikušas ievērojamas pūles, lai saskaņotu ar pārrobežu mantošanu saistīto likumdošanu. Tiesību aktu saskaņošana ir veicinājusi nepieciešamību pēc augstas kvalitātes juridiskajiem tulkojumiem, it īpaši mantojuma tiesību kontekstā. Bakalaura darbā „Juridiskie termini vispārējās angļu-latviešu vārdnīcās” uzsvars ir likts uz ekvivalences veidu analīzi juridisko terminu ekvivalentiem latviešu valodā, kas ir ietverti vispārējās angļu-latviešu vārdnīcās. Pētījums vērsa uzmanību izvēlēto juridisko terminu iekļaušanai analizētajās vārdnīcās un trūkstošo terminu noteikšanu, lai noskaidrotu informācijas apjomu ekvivalences analīzei. Rezultāti norādīja, ka analizētajās vārdnīcās tika novērota gandrīz pilnīga ekvivalence, daļēja ekvivalence (konverģence un diverģence) un neatbilstoša ekvivalence; tomēr, visbiežākais ekvivalences veids bija gandrīz pilnīga ekvivalence, otrajā vietā ierindojās neatbilstoša ekvivalence, bet trešajā…
Online value creation in small service businesses: the importance of experience valence and personal values

Perceived value is of great interest in current marketing research. However, in the area of Internet as a shopping channel of small businesses, there has been little analysis of customer perceived value and its determinants. This paper examines two little analysed aspects of value creation, experience valence and personal values. The analysis of data from a survey of tourism service purchase shows that experience valence, in terms of relevant information, ease of use and customer service, clearly influences perceived value after the online shopping experience. In contrast, only personal values of sense of security and sense of accomplishment influence perceived value.
Prediction of Molecular Volume and Surface of Alkanes by Molecular Topology.

Molecular volume and molecular surface are expressed as a function of topological degree in alkane graphs. This allows not only a straightforward approach to calculate such physicochemical magnitudes but also an interpretation of the role of the local vertex invariant (LOVI) or valence degree, delta, as well as the connectivity indices in the prediction of physicochemical properties. The interpretation is based on the concept of molecular accessibility (as introduced by Estrada, J. Phys. Chem. A 2002, 106, 9085) for which precise mathematical definitions are provided.
