Shaping ability of nickel-titanium rotary instruments in simulated S-shaped root canals.

Objective The aim of this study was to compare the shaping ability of 4 nickel-titanium rotary techniques and 1 hand technique in simulated S-shaped curved root canals. Study design Seventy-five simulated double-curved resin root canals were divided into 5 groups (n = 15). Cone-beam computed tomography analysis of root and canal morphology of mandibular premolars in a Spanish population

Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the clinical anatomy of lower premolar roots in a Spanish population by using cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT), correlating findings with patient gender and tooth type. Materials and Methods: Using 70 CBCT images, we evaluated 126 healthy, untreated, well-developed lower premolars. Outcome of Root Canal Treatments Provided by Endodontic Postgraduate Students. A Retrospective Study

The aim of this study was to assess the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative factors that influenced complete periapical healing in teeth that underwent primary root canal treatment (RCT), in patients treated by postgraduate students in endodontics. Factors were retrieved and compared with the periapical status during the follow-up visit. Healing was considered as the absence of clinical and radiological symptoms. Variables significantly associated by the chi-squared test were included in a logistic regression model (LRM). Bleaching efficacy of at home 16% carbamide peroxide. A long-term clinical follow-up study.

OBJECTIVE To assess the whitening efficacy of a 16% carbamide peroxidase (CP) gel after 42 months of clinical follow-up. MATERIALS AND METHODS A retrospective clinical study was carried out involving 95 participants. CP 16% was applied for 90 minutes a day for 4 weeks using individualized trays. Tooth color was assessed using spectrophotometry at baseline, 1 week after the end of treatment, and every 6 months until completing 42 months of follow-up.
