description

What happens when feminine authors investigate porn-comics and draw themselves in it ? Self-depiction of feminine authors conveys something original in a field where it usually is a way to express a private fantasy. From feminist comics of the 70s to the most recent porn comics, authors’ bodies are not sex objects anymore, they are the subject of a narration. Self-depiction is a new material for porn-comics and gives sincerity to the stories, it may be a way to express political views. Self-fantasy, sex confession or physical metamorphosis are the multiple ways self-depiction provides the feminine author to strengthen her authorship. Implicitly those self-depicted porn-authors draw up an inventory of the porn-comics genre : while the explicit content tends to invade others genre, pornography is more and more akin to intimate autobiographies.
