Aquest article comenta un text de la Crítica de la Raó Pura (B. 113-116) en què Kant fa referència a la doctrina clàssica dels transcendentals (Unum, Verum i Bonum). Es rebutja la interpretació de Torreti, que identifica l’Unum transcendental amb la unitat sintètica de l’apercepció, i es defensa una segona interpretació, segons la qual els transcendentals, en el tractament kantià, prefiguren les propietats centrals estudiades per la metalògica contemporània: consistència, decidibilitat i completesa.

Tratamiento de las fracturas de la diáfísis femoral mediante clavo centromedular en cerrojo de Grosse-Kempf

Hemos revisado retrospectivamente 77 fracturas diafisarias femorales tratadas mediante enclavamiento centromedular de Grosse-Kempf. Todos los pacientes han sido seguidos con controles mensuales clínico-radiológicos hasta la consolidación de las fracturas. Realizamos un estudio de la diferentes complicaciones generales, técnicas y evolutivas que nos han surgido en la utilización de la técnica. Los resultados han sido valorados según la escala de Thorensen obteniéndose un 84,5% de excelentes y buenos resultados. For the majority of filamentous fungal species, solid-state media are the natural life media. Growth can occur on the surface or within the whole substrate, depending on the porosity. Industrial solid-state fermentations have been developed largely in traditional food industries such as cheese, Oriental fermentations, fermented vegetables, meat, and other products, and in modern biotechnological industries such as antibiotics and enzymes. At the industrial scale, the latter fermentations allow for a decrease in the drying costs of the final products.

This study was carried out in order to perform a combined prospective assessment of the individual pharmacodynamic response and of duodenal ulcer healing in patients treated with three different doses of omeprazole. Ninety-nine patients with endoscopically proven duodenal ulcers were subdivided into three parallel groups of 33 cases, who were randomly assigned to receive orally at 0800 hr, in single blind fashion, either 10 mg, 20 mg, or 40 mg of omeprazole. Endoscopic Anatomy of the Ventricles

The endoscopic view offers a new anatomical dimension to the neurosurgeon. The fact makes it basically necessary to study the topographic anatomy under endoscopic conditions. In this paper attention was drawn to the ventricles because they are the most common region of clinical application. In 25 specimens neuroendoscopic explorations of the ventricles have been done. The dissections have been carried out through one- and two burr hole approaches (two working endoscopes at the same time). The instrumentation includes rigid 4 mm and 6 mm endoscopes. The procedures have been documented by continuous video recording and parallel photography.

The effect of different amounts of cladode removal on reflowering of cactus pear (Opuntia ficus-indica(L.) Miller)

SummaryThe removal of the spring flush of flowers and cladodes at bloom promotes reflowering in cactus pear. Studies were conducted to investigate the influence of different amounts of spring flush cladode removal (100%, 75%, 50%, 25%, 0%) on cactus pear reflowering. A positive linear correlation between the severity of spring flush cladode removal and the degree of reflowering was found. Primary (spring flush) and secondary (second flush) cladodes showed the same fertility in the year after formation. Two year old cladodes showed a significantly lower fertility and have only a marginal effect on plant yield.

When can association graphs admit a causal interpretation?

We discuss essentially linear structures which are adequately represented by association graphs called covariance graphs and concentration graphs. These do not explicitly indicate a process by which data could be generated in a stepwise fashion. Therefore, on their own, they do not suggest a causal interpretation. Abstract In this paper we introduce a formal framework for investigating the relationship of inductive inference and the task of classification. We give the first results on the relationship between functions that can be identified in the limit and functions that can be acquired from unclassified objects only. Moreover, we present results on the complexity of classification functions and the preconditions necessary in order to allow the computation of such functions.

Abstract: This paper examines the relevance of three semantic models for translation. Structural semantics, more specifically semantic feature analysis, has given rise to the maxim that we should translate "bundles of semantic features". Prototype semantics suggests that word-meanings have cores and fuzzy edges which are influenced by culture. For translation this means that we do not necessarily translate bundles of features but have to decide whether to focus on the core or the fuzzy edges of the meaning of a particular word.
