Quantitative Bestimmung von Sterigmatocystin in verschimmelten pflanzlichen Nahrungsmitteln

Ein Verfahren fur die quantitative Bestimmung von Sterigmatocystin in pflanzlichen Nahrungsmitteln durch zweidimensionale DC-Trennung eines Extraktes und Fluorescenzintensitatsmessung der mit AlCl3 behandelten DC-Platte wird beschrieben. Durch die hier vorgeschlagene Auftrageweise auf der DC-Platte ist ein rasches Identifizieren und Auswerten von Probe- und Eichflecken moglich. Als Extraktionsmittel hat sich Acetonitril-KCl-Losung am besten bewahrt. Versuche mit zugesetztem Toxin zeigten Verluste von weniger als 5 %.

Characterization of some isomeric benzophenones by their mass spectra

Benzophenones have been described to undergo characteristic α-cleavage and rearrangement processes upon mass spectrometric fragmentation. Recently two series of new and isomeric benzophenones have been prepared from phenylbenzoates by Fries rearrangement or directly by Friedel Crafts acylation. It is shown that the above mentioned diagnostic fragmentation processes can be used to characterize the resulting isomeric ortho or para hydroxy and ortho or para methoxy benzophenones unambigously.

Invers-voltammetrische Untersuchungen zur Speziation des Quecksilbers in Flußwasser

Bindungscharakteristik und Bindungskapazitat der Oberflachenwasser des anthropogen stark belasteten Ginsheimer Altrheins gegenuber dem Quecksilber wurden mittels der Differential-Pulse Anodic Stripping Voltammetrie (DPASV) untersucht. In den Wasserproben lag das Quecksilber bei einer durchschnittlichen Gesamt-Hg-Konzentration von 6,4 μg/l zu 100% stabil gebunden vor. Auch bei pH 3 war die Bindungskapazitat der untersuchten Wasserproben gegenuber dem Quecksilber noch ca. 70%. Es wird angenommen, das fur diese hohe Bindungskapazitat sowohl naturliche als auch kunstliche Chelatbildner verantwortlich sind.

Abstract The structures of two sesquiterpene lactones isolated from Artemisia herba-alba subsp. valentina have been determined by spectroscopic methods. One of these was dihydroreynosin, the other was a new compound assigned the name torrentin. The chemical compositions of a wax and a hydrocarbon fraction from the essential oil have also been investigated.

Synthesis of polymeric alkoxides from dialkyltin(IV) oxides and chloral, and their characterization by mössbauer and infrared spectroscopy

Abstract The reaction of (Alk2SnO)n with OCH·CCl3 gives compounds of elemental formula Alk2SnOCH- (CCI3)O (Alk = Bun, Octn), probably by addition of the Sn-O bond to the carbonyl group. Mossbauer parameters suggest the occurrence of five-coordinated Sn, and polymeric structures with bridging three- coordinating oxygens are proposed. The assumption that C2SnO3 units with trigonal bipyramidal type structures are present is consistent with point-charge model rationalization of the quadrupole splitting. Polymerization of Mono- and Bi-functional Diacetylene Derivatives in Monolayers at the Gas-Water Interface

The spreading and polymerization behaviour of long chain acids and phospholipid analogues containing diacetylene groups is described. Especially the polymerization in monolayers is followed spectroscopically with a new device used in connection with a commercial UV spectrometer. The polymerization is topochemically controlled. Sonification of the phospholipid analogues in water results in the formation of liposomes with multilayered membranes. Polymerization of the liposomes in water forms aqueous solutions of polymer vesicles.

We show that t"B(G) is the number of orbits of G, acting on a set @D"B(G) of tuples of matrices. In the case G=S"n we get a natural interpretation for combinatorial numbers connected with the Stiring numbers of the second kind.

Monsonia nivea is a hemicryptophyte which shows spiny petioles after the loss of leaf blades. Anthocladial inflorescences and their supporting vegetative parts are spineless. Spines are formed only by vigorous rosettes. Similar spiny petioles can be found in all other genera of the tribeGeranieae.

Such compounds are thus precursors of cholinergic false transmitters. This chapter discusses two compounds, N-methyl-N-2-hydroxyethylpyrrolidiniu (mPCh) and homocholine (HCh), using guinea-pig cortex and the electric organ of Torpedo marmorata. The effect of atropine on the release of acetylcholine (ACh) from different peripheral parasympathetically innervated tissues was investigated. Herpesviruses, having DNA as their genetic material, are usually divided into type 1 and type 2 by antigenic differences and by biochemical markers. Herpesviruses are capable to persist in the host they infect, and around 75 % of those persons who were primary infected are afflicted during their lives with recurrent herpetic eruptions.
