Children’s preference for fruit and vegetables must emerge during childhood. At children’s homes, mothers and fathers influence children’s developing food preferences with their own preferences and actions. The purpose of the study was to reveal the association parents have with their children’s fruit and vegetable preferences. The study was conducted in a sample of Finnish mothers and fathers of 3–5-year-old children. The participants were recruited, and questionnaires distributed through early childhood education and care centers in 2014 and 2015. The main accomplishment of the Property Regimes Regulations lies in their bringing more coherence into the cross-border family law adjudication. In the field of international jurisdiction, they strive to align the competence in couples? patrimony disputes to that in succession and in separation proceedings, or else to align the competence of the courts to the applicable law. These tendencies are clearly visible in the Regulations? provisions on choice of court agreements. Teaching competences in Secondary Education : analysis of teachers’ profiles

This paper reports some of the findings from a study that aimed to analyse the importance attributed by secondary education teachers from the province of Castellón (Spain) to teaching competencies and to establish professional profiles from their responses. The survey was based on a purposely designed questionnaire answered by a representative sample of 136 secondary teachers from Castellón, representing 23 school departments. Bakalaura darba tēma: “Jauniešu personības iezīmju un sociāli emocionālās kompetence saistība.” Pētījuma mērķis bija teorētiski un praktiski izpētīt un noskaidrot personības iezīmju un sociāli emocionālās kompetences savstarpējo saistība jauniešu vecuma grupā. Pētījuma jautājums: vai pastāv statistiski nozīmīgas saistības starp personības iezīmēm un sociāli emocionālo kompetenci jauniešu vecuma grupā? Metode: kvantitatīvais pētījums, kurā piedalījās 50-klašu skolēni no dažiem Latvijas skolām. Šajā diplomdarbā tika pētīta mācību satura un valodas integrētas mācīšanās (CLIL) ietekme uz 12.klases skolēnu angļu valodas leksikas kompetences attīstību mācību priekšmetā “Politika un tiesības”. Autore uzskata, ka CLIL ir jābūt jaunās Latvijas izglītības pieejas būtiskai sastāvdaļai, jo tā nodrošina integrētāku un jēgpilnāku mācīšanos. Gadījuma izpēte tika izvēlēta kā pētniecības metode, un izpētes grupu veidoja 25 12.klases skolēni. Magnitude comparison skills have been related to mathematics competence, although results in this area vary. The current study aimed to describe the performance of 75 children (aged 4-5 years) in two comparison tasks; and examine the strength of the relationship between each of the two tasks and mathematics competence level (MCL). Participants were assessed with the Early Numeracy Test which provides a global MCL score. Magnitude comparison skills were assessed with two tasks: a non-symbolic number comparison task and a spatial comparison task. Resumen basado en el de la publicación Título, resumen y palabras clave en español e inglés Disponible la versión en inglés Se presenta un modelo de competencia docente del profesor de medicina. Fue generado a partir de un modelo conceptual preexistente: dicho modelo se sometió al juicio de expertos quienes seleccionaron las competencias de mayor impacto, construyéndose un perfil de competencias. Se generó un instrumento basado en la opinión de los estudiantes y otro de autoevaluación, siendo ambos validados por 18 expertos en evaluación y aplicándose a 2281 estudiantes y 107 profesores.
