Profesionāliem tulkiem ir liela prasība pēc automatizētās tulkošana, bet, diemžēl, mašīntulkošanas sistēmas daudzu ierobežojumu dēļ nevar ražot tekstu, kas būtu līdzīgi cilvēka tulkojumam. Tomēr, pirmsrēdiģēšanu un pēcrēdiģēšanu izmantošana mašīntulkošanā var paaugstināt mašīntulkojamību. Tādējādi, pētījuma mērķis ir izanalizēt pirmsrēdiģēšanu un pēcrēdiģēšanu izmantošanu angļu juridisko tekstu automatizēto tulkošanu krievu valodā. Kritiskā diskursa analīze bija izmantota kā empirīskā pētījuma metode. Pēdējā desmitgadē mašīntulkošana ir ievērojami attīstījusies un tiek plaši izmantota tulkošanas nozarē, lai izpildītu pieaugošo pieprasījumu pēc ātrākiem tulkojumiem un samazinātu izmaksas. Lai maksimāli palielinātu mašīntulkošanas efektivitāti un iegūtu augstas kvalitātes tulkojumu, mašīntulkošanas darbplūsmā parasti tiek iekļauti divi papildus procesi: rediģēšana pirms un pēc mašīntulkošanas. Pētījuma mērķis ir izpētīt gan latviešu, gan angļu ziņu diskursu, kā arī salīdzināt divu mašīntulkošanas rīku – Google Translate un Tilde Translator – efektivitāti, tulkojot ziņu rakstus no angļu valodas latviešu valodā. W niniejszym artykule zaprezentowano i skomentowano wyniki warsztatów translatorskich przeprowadzonych na Uniwersytecie Opolskim. Przetłumaczone fragmenty utworów Lydii Mischkulnig, Daniela Wissera i Maxi Obexer odczytywane są i interpretowane z perspektywy tożsamości literatury austriackiej. Z analizy studenckich próbek przekładu wynika, że zdiagnozowane problemy translatorskie związane są przede wszystkim z indywidualną estetyką przekładanych autorów oraz przekraczaniem przez nich tradycyjnych granic genologicznych.

Their corpses were found in the waters around Lampedusa, whose small cemetery, in former mayor Giusi Nicolini's words, could not spatially 'welcome' any more bodies to bury. Cryptogein signaling in tobacco: in search for nitric oxide targets

Nitric oxide (NO) triggers various physiological responses in plants. Notably, NO is recognized to account for the response to biotic stresses. We previously reported that NO is produced in tobacco cells exposed to cryptogein, a 10 kDa elicitor secreted by the oomycete Phytophthora cryptogea. To decipher the role of NO, we identified and characterized S-nitrosylated proteins in tobacco cell suspensions elicited by cryptogein. Several candidates were identified including the chaperone-like AAA+ATPase CDC48 and a calmodulin isoform (CaM). Bakalaura darbs ir veltīts īpašvārdu, reāliju, metaforu un idiomu tulkošanas stratēģiju izpētei. Darba mērķis ir veikt komparatīvo, kvalitatīvo un kvantitatīvo analīzi korpusam, kas sastāv no četrām grupām – īpašvārdi, reālijas, metaforas un idiomas, franču-latviešu valodu kombinācijā, lai noskaidrotu, kuras stratēģijas ir vispiemērotākās to tulkošanai. Korpusa izveidei tika izmantotas divas grāmatas – Žila Verna grāmata « Astoņdesmit dienās apkārt zemeslodei » un tās tulkojums, ko veicis Andrejs Upīts. Bakalaura darbs sastāv no divām daļām.
