Student evaluation of clickers in a dental pathology course

BACKGROUND: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the degree of satisfaction of students and teachers, and to determine whether the students notice improvements in learning and in the learning environment as a result of the use of clicker. MATERIAL AND METHODS: Descriptive study. Fifty-one students and 8 teachers participated in the use of clicker technology in 8 preclinical seminars in dental pathology. Students and teachers filled a three-domain questionnaire at the end of the preclinical course. We used the Mann-Whitney U-test to compare the results between the two groups. Abstract PURPOSE: To assess the diagnostic performance and the potential as a teaching tool of S-detect in the assessment of focal breast lesions. METHODS: 61 patients (age 21-84 years) with benign breast lesions in follow-up or candidate to pathological sampling or with suspicious lesions candidate to biopsy were enrolled. Teorētiskajā daļā apkopotas mācību metodes atbilstoši 7 inteliģencēm, bet pētnieciskajā daļā tās ir iekļautas mācību procesā ar mērķi pārbaudīt to labvēlīgo ietekmi uz mācību sasniegumu uzlabošanos. In academic year 2020-2021, a pilot research was carried out on distance peer teaching, which was hypothesized as effective tool to reduce some of the negative effects that distance teaching, imposed by the Coronavirus pandemic, caused among students enrolled in the first year of the three-year degree course in Educational Sciences at the University of Palermo during the academic year 2019-2020.
