The Triangular Theory of Love (measured with Sternberg’s Triangular Love Scale – STLS) is a prominent theoretical concept in empirical research on love. To expand the culturally homogeneous body of previous psychometric research regarding the STLS, we conducted a large-scale cross-cultural study with the use of this scale. In total, we examined more than 11,000 respondents, but as a result of applied exclusion criteria, the final analyses were based on a sample of 7332 participants from 25 countries (from all inhabited continents). Copepods dominate the mesozooplankton spring-summer community in a South Norwegian fjord

Master's thesis in Coastal ecology (BIO501) In this study the seasonality of the mesozooplankton community in spring and summer of 2019 at Midtfjordsskjær (MFS), South Norway, was investigated. Zooplankton samples were collected using a fine mesh sized plankton net (60 μm) and zooplankton were identified by microscopy based on 5 ml subsamples. Total zooplankton abundance ranged from 754 –1620 ind. m-3and peak abundance was found in May. Holoplankton dominated spring and summer communities at MFS constituting between 85,6 –98,8% of total zooplankton.

We present an extension of the non-parametric edge-corrected Ohser-type kernel estimator for the spatio-temporal product density function. We derive the mean and variance of the estimator and give a closed-form approximation for a spatio-temporal Poisson point process. Asymptotic properties of this second-order characteristic are derived, using an approach based on martingale theory. Taking advantage of the convergence to normality, confidence surfaces under the homogeneous Poisson process are built. Levetiracetam is an active pharmaceutical ingredient widely used to treat epilepsy. We describe a new synthesis of levetiracetam by a dynamic kinetic resolution and a ruthenium-catalysed ex-cell anodic oxidation. For the enzymatic resolution, we tailored a high throughput screening method to identify Comamonas testosteroni nitrile hydratase variants with high (S)-selectivity and activity. Racemic nitrile was applied in a fed-batch reaction and was hydrated to (S)-(pyrrolidine-1-yl)butaneamide. For the subsequent oxidation to levetiracetam, we developed a ligand-free ruthenium-catalysed method at a low catalyst loading. The oxidant was electrochemically generated in 86% yield.
