Los autores revisan la experiencia acumulada en el tratamiento de fracturas abiertas de tibia y peroné con atricción de partes blandas correspondientes a los grados II y III de CAUCHOIX. En una serie de 15 casos hemos usado el fijador de HOFFMAN-VIDAL y en otra serie de 15 casos el fijador monolateral Orthofix. El método de fijación elástica (fijador monolateral Orthofix) representa una gran seguridad en la consolidación y un acortamiento del tiempo de tratamiento en comparación con el método de fijación rígida (fijador de HOFFMAN-VIDAL). Construction and Implementation of LR(1) Parsers

This chapter is devoted to the practical issues involved in the construction and use of deterministic LR(1) parsers. We shall show how the practical versions of LR (1) parsers, most notably the LALR (1) parsers, can be constructed efficiently, and we shall present methods for encoding LR(1) parsers as efficient RAM programs. Two versions of RAM program implementation are considered: in the first implementation the parsing program is table-driven, that is, the rules of the parser are encoded in a two-dimensional array which is simulated by a program body; in the other implementation the tabular information is further transformed into a set of program statements.

Modified most-probable-number technique for the specific determination of Escherichia coli from environmental samples using a fluorogenic method

A specific and senstive modification of the most-probable-number (MPN) technique by addition of 4-methylumbelliferyl-β-D-glucuronide (MUG) to both presumptive and confirmatory media was performed. The use of this modification allows the precise determination of Escherichia coli from marine samples (seawater, sediment and shellfish) within 7 days compared to 10–12 days required by using of the standard methodology. No false-positive isolates for fluorescence reaction have been observed, although one E. coli strain fluorescent-positive on agar was isolated from nonfluorescent tubes. Se presentan 13 casos de Displasia Epifisaria de la cabeza femoral analizando los problemas diagnósticos con otras patologías y especialmente con la enfermedad de Perthes. Se discute su posible patogenia de probable origen vascular dada la relación entre ambos procesos. The authors report thirteen cases of displasia epiphysialis capitis femoris analyzing its differential diagnosis 'with other pathologies, especially with Perthes' disease. They argue about its pathogenesis of probably vascular origin, and the relation among these two entities.

Abstract The influence of dietary heated linseed oil on the fatty acid composition of rat liver, platelet and plasma phospholipids (PL) with particular reference to the metabolism of linoleic acid (18:2 n-6) were studied. Δ6 and Δ5 desaturase activities and fatty acid composition of hepatic microsomal total lipids (TL) also were determined. Two groups of male weanling rats were fed, for 6 weeks, diets containing 10% (in weight) of a fresh linseed oil (LO group) and of a heated linseed oil (HLO group). The course of ethylene polymerization in the presence of a catalytic system comprising (n-BuO)4Ti+Et2AlCl has been investigated. The effect of monomer and catalyst concentration and of composition of the catalytic system, Expressem as the Al/Ti molar ratio, on the yield of polymerization and on the process of titanium reduction has been investigated. By kinetic method the concentration of active centres (no*) and rate constant of elementary reaction of chain propagation (kp) has been determined.
