Tässä pro gradu -tutkielmassa tutkittiin julkisorganisaation toiminnan kuvaamisen haasteita ja mahdollisuuksia. Status of new 18 GHz ECRIS HIISI

A new 18 GHz ECR ion source HIISI is under commissioning at the Accelerator Laboratory at the University of Jyväskylä (JYFL). The main purpose of HIISI is to produce high-energy beam cocktails, e.g. Xe44+, for radiation effects testing of electronics with the K130 cyclotron. The initial commissioning results in 18+14 GHz operation with oxygen, argon and xenon are reported. The beam currents are compared to those produced by reference ion sources (JYFL 14 GHz ECRIS, GTS and SuSI). At the moment (October 2017) 560 µA of O6+ and 310 µA of Ar13+, for example, have been reached with HIISI at 2.3 kW total power. peerReviewed

Kalambūrs ir stilistiskās izteiksmes līdzeklis, kuru izmanto humora nolūkos, un tādējādi pētīta gan literatūrā, gan lingvistikā. Turklāt Terijs Pračets ir pazīstams ar humora un plašu kalambūru pielietojumu savos romānos. Tādēļ šī pētījuma mērķis ir izanalizēt kalambūrus vienā no Pračeta romāniem – „Sargi! Sargi!”. Pētījuma metodes rezultātu iegūšanai ir literatūras apskats, lai iegūtu informāciju par kalambūru klasifikāciju pēc to veidiem un kalambūru funkcijas, kā arī tekstu analīze romāna „Sargi! Here we report differences between: 1) a heterogeneous population of primary rat brain astrocytes (Primary), in culture since several years ago, and 2) a cloned cell line (Clone), obtained from the Primary cells. Both populations maintain astrocyte morphology but, according to cytogenetic and epigenomic characterization, differ for the chromosomal asset from rat normal cells (42 chromosomes): Primary cells show mostly a bimodal karyotype with 41 or 43 chromosomes, and Clone has a unique-modal karyotype of 43 chromosomes. Public attitudes towards IPVAW are key to understanding the social context in which this type of violence occurs. Victim-blaming attitudes are among those that reflect public tolerance and acceptability of IPVAW and are often used to explain or justify IPVAW. The purpose of this paper is to analyse the portrayal of triple therapy (a combination of three antiviral drugs proposed at the Vancouver International AIDS Conference in 1996) in three literary texts belonging to the Latin American HIV-positive corpus. Il Market Hall, progettato dagli MVRDV a Rotterdam, può essere assunto come icona di un nuovo modo di concepire lo spazio ad uso collettivo. Si tratta infatti di un edificio polifunzionale, connesso ai servizi infrastrutturali della città, adibito non solo a mercato coperto, ma anche ad uso residenziale. Il complesso architettonico racchiude al suo interno un vero e proprio spazio pubblico dove intrattenere le persone durante il loro tempo libero. Il complesso programma funzionale, che connota queste nuove architetture, definisce un uso ibrido degli spazi, innovando l’edificio monofunzionale che ha contraddistinto le architetture del secolo scorso.

Recipient vessels selection is crucial for successful microsurgical breast reconstruction. The internal mammary vessels (IMVs) have gained great popularity, and they are often selected as first choice recipient vessels. The IMVs can be exposed for microvascular anastomosis through a rib-removing (trans-costal) or a rib-sparing (intercostal) approach.1–3 Because the vessels are located between the rib cage and the parietal pleura, adequate training is needed to avoid and eventually manage bleedings and pleural perforation. This training is better performed in a nonhuman model. Our aim was to investigate the pig as a surgical model for IMVs harvesting to be used in training.

The Maltese Islands are intersected by two major fault systems associated with two diverse rifting episodes affect the islands. The first and most widespread system is Early Miocene to mid-Pliocene in age, and consists of faults that are orientated ENE-WSW. The most distinct of these faults is the Great Fault (known also as the Victoria Lines Fault). The younger system of faults (Late Miocene-Early Pliocene) is still active and consists of faults striking NW to SE that often cross-cut the first generation of faults. The most extensive of these faults is the Maghlaq Fault, located along the southern coastline of the Maltese Islands.

Alle hypothesenrelevanten Konstrukte wurden in der ILLEV-Studie mittels standardisierter Testinstrumente gemessen, indem sie uber existierende und in der Forschung etablierte Instrumente operationalisiert wurden. Das einzige deutschsprachige Testinstrument, das sich zur Erfassung betriebswirtschaftlichen Wissens bei Studierenden eignet und beim Projektstart vorlag, war der Business Administration Knowledge Test (BAKT) von Bothe, Wilhelm und Beck (2007), mit dem deklarative Wissensformen erfasst werden konnen. So wurde im Rahmen der ILLEV Studie das deklarative betriebswirtschaftliche Fachwissen mit Items aus dem BAKT erfasst.
