Exactly solvable time-dependent pseudo-Hermitian su(1,1) Hamiltonian models

An exact analytical treatment of the dynamical problem for time-dependent 2x2 pseudo-hermitian su(1,1) Hamiltonians is reported. A class of exactly solvable and physically transparent new scenarios are identified within both classical and quantum contexts. Such a class is spanned by a positive parameter $\nu$ that allows to distinguish two different dynamical regimes. Our results are usefully employed for exactly solving a classical propagation problem in a guided wave optics scenario. This article examines the narratives of cosy other in the media representations of folk singers Julie Fowlis, Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh, Emily Portman, and Kate Rusby. I argue that the concept of cosy otherness derives from that of the internal other, but unlike it and the conventional post-colonial other, the cosy other is not ominous, competing, and negative, but something charming and unthreateningly different with singular cultural traits. Here, the narratives of cosy other combine the narratives of origins, authenticity, and performance, which in turn are connected in the active processes of remembering and premediation, and construct the four singers as nostalgic, authentic, and feminine…
High-quality superconducting titanium nitride thin film growth using infra-red pulsed laser deposition

Superconducting titanium nitride (TiN) thin films were deposited on magnesium oxide, sapphire and silicon nitride substrates at 700 °C, using a pulsed laser deposition (PLD) technique, where infrared (1064 nm) pulses from a solid-state laser were used for the ablation from a titanium target in a nitrogen atmosphere. Structural studies performed with x-ray diffraction showed the best epitaxial crystallinity for films deposited on MgO. In the best films, superconducting transition temperatures, T C, as high as 4.8 K were observed, higher than in most previous superconducting TiN thin films deposited with reactive sputtering. Positivism has been used to establish a standard that Information Systems (IS) research must meet to be scientific. According to such positivistic beliefs in IS, scientific research should: 1) be generalizable, 2) focus on stable independent variables, 3) have certain ontological assumptions, and 4) use statistical or quantitative methods rather than qualitative methods. We argue that logical positivist philosophers required none of these. On the contrary, logical positivist philosophers regarded philosophizing in general and ontological considerations in particular as nonsense. In this article, we are looking at Finnish education from the inside, from the perspective of Finnish teachers and schools. Our hypothesis is that Finnish teachers, who have a high-quality academic education and who work as trusted professionals, have played a key role in making such results possible. Active and passive recovery influence responses of luteinizing hormone and testosterone to a fatiguing strength loading

The purpose of this study was to examine the acute hormonal and muscular responses to a strenuous strength loading [bilateral leg press (LP) 10x10 1RM] followed by loading-specific active (AR, n = 7, LP 10x10x30% 1RM) or passive (PR, n = 11, seated) recovery. The subjects were men age: 26±4 years, height: 174±8 cm, body mass: 75±13 kg. After control measurements, experimental measurements were conducted at pre and post loading as well as post recovery and next morning. In this contribution, we report convenient synthetic approaches for obtaining 16O/18O‐enriched dioxidometalVI complexes, MO2(L) (W, Mo), with a linear, tetradentate amine phenolate ligand N,N′‐dimethyl‐N,N′‐bis(2‐hydroxy‐3,5‐dimethylbenzyl)ethylenediamine (H2L) and describe their characterization by IR and Raman spectroscopy complemented by DFT computational analysis.
