Reclamation of technogenically disturbed lands requires several procedures and assignments. In the South of Kazakhstan during the field development of phosphate deposits, pastoral type lands were disturbed. Reclamation works were done in two stages - technical and biological. The technical stage included the dump planning, loamy ground delivery for bottom lining, layer-bylayer covering and stabilisation. This work of political and cultural history highlights the context of the early sixties in which Leonardo Sciascia wrote The Council of Egypt, in particular the clear position and criticism of the writer in charge of the Sicilian region led by Silvio Milazzo and the publication de The Gattopardo of Tomasi di Lampedusa. Moreover, here the relationship between Sciascia and the new progressive Sicilian historiography of those years is rebuilt, its initial support and then abandonment; opting for a metaphorical historical paradigm of immobility and defeat.

Abstract We present a new video-based tool developed in Germany to enhance the teaching of economics. The tool consists of authentic teacher-student interactions in economics classes to which instructors need to react. The combination of genetic code expansion (GCE) and baculovirus-based protein expression in Spodoptera frugiperda cells is a powerful tool to express multiprotein complexes with site-specifically introduced noncanonical amino acids. This protocol describes the integration of synthetase and tRNA gene indispensable for GCE into the backbone of the Bacmid, the Tn7-mediated transposition of various genes of interest, as well as the final expression of protein using the MultiBacTAG system with different noncanonical amino acids.
Chemotaxis and Haptotaxis on Cellular Level

Chemotaxis and haptotaxis have been a main theme in the macroscopic study of bacterial and cellular motility. In this work, we use a successful model that describes cellular motility and investigate the influence these processes have on the shape and motility of fast migrating cells. We note that, despite the biological and modelling differences of chemotaxis and haptotaxis, the cells exhibit many similarities in their migration. In particular, after an initial adjustment phase, the cells obtain a stable shape, similar in both cases, and move with constant velocity.

The appearance of magnetic order in the (Fe0.2Cr0.8)1.5[Cr(CN)6]·15H2O Prussian blue analogue at low temperature has been investigated by means of synchrotron radiation-based X-ray absorption spectroscopy and X-ray magnetic circular dichroism. With the help of ligand field multiplet analysis we have been able to identify the oxidation states of the metallic cations present in the sample and their evolution with temperature. Abstract Background This study aims at evaluating the feasibility, surgical outcome and oncological results observed after robotic radical hysterectomy (RH) compared to laparoscopy for patients with early stage cervical cancer (ECC) patients. Methods Between January 2010 and October 2016, 210 patients underwent RH for treatment of ECC: 70 underwent robotic approach (Cases), and 140 underwent laparoscopic approach (Controls).
