Primary immunodeficiencies (PIDs) are rare genetic diseases characterized by susceptibility to infections, increased risk of autoimmunity, hypogammaglobulinemia, and lymphoproliferative syndromes. PIDs are associated to genetic alterations in about 400 known genes, among which, mutations of the LRBA gene. LRBA gene encodes a widely expressed multi-domain protein with highly conserved BEACH domain, involved in regulation of endosomal trafficking, particularly endocytosis of ligand-activated receptors. The Prince is counted among those political works which gave rise to modern political science. Linguists have shown how the writing technique, that makes The Prince a unique work, is one of the main instruments used by Machiavelli to persuade his addressee to adopt the political tactics he was recommending. On the basis of their Italian studies on The Prince, the paper analyses how Machiavelli’s style was transferred from Italian into English in the most recent and authoritative English translations by Harvey C. Teaching audio‑visual translation at the “French Philology level 0” course: methods, contents, clues
 In the face of a sensible diminution of the number of high‑school graduates able to communicate in French well enough to follow the “classical” French Philology course, many Polish universities offer their students the possibility of studying “French Philology level 0”. One of the key skills developed by this course is translation, including basic audio‑visual translation competences. The paper shows some examples of translator training clues that have been worked out at the Opole University.

The use of comics to communicate health-related topics has aroused growing interest in their translation from English, as well as from other languagessuch as French. Acknowledging the twofold challenge posed by a medium and a language combination that have seldom been explored in medical translation training, we will compare and contrast the Spanish translation of the French comic L’incroyable histoire de la médecine to make a didactic contribution to the training of medical translators. We will study the iconographic and textual codes present in the comic before presenting a proposal for its use in educational settings.

Kansainväliset arviointitutkimukset edellyttävät laajaa käännöstyötä, koska kaikki koemateriaalit on käännettävä kunkin osallistujamaan kielille. Kaikkien erikielisten koeversioiden on lisäksi oltava keskenään vertailukelpoisia, jotta tutkimustulokset olisivat valideja. Arviointitutkimuksissa onkin kehitetty nimenomaisia käännösprosesseja ja -käytänteitä varmistamaan koeversioiden vertailukelpoisuus ja tutkimustulosten validius. Niepowtarzalny charakter hermetycznego świata powieści Piaseckiego odzwierciedla się głównie w szczególnej formie języka, którym posługują się protagoniści powieści. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest odpowiedź na pytanie, jak ten wyjątkowy, czasem wulgarny i przede wszystkim nad wyraz emocjonalny wariant języka został przetłumaczony na język niemiecki. Po prezentacji szczególnych właściwości leksykalnych tekstu wyjściowego przedstawiono oraz skomentowano wybrane rozwiązania tłumaczeniowe.

Darbā “Franču daiļliteratūras tulkojumi latviešu grāmatniecībā no 2001. gada” ir apkopota un analizēta informācija par franču daiļliteratūras tulkojumiem latviešu valodā, kas iznākuši laika posmā no 2001. gada. Līdz šim nav veikti citi pētījumi par šo tematu, kas aplūkotu 21. gadsimtā izdotos tulkojumus. Šajā pētījumā daiļliteratūras darbu nosaukumi analizēti gan vēsturiski, gan kontekstā ar mūsdienu situāciju Latvijas grāmatniecībā. Lai būtu iespējams iegūt statistiskus datus par publicētajiem tulkojumiem, pētījuma veidošanas gaitā sastādīta un iekļauta kopš 2001. gada latviešu valodā iznākušās franču daiļliteratūras bibliogrāfija.
Gramatiskās transformācijas Oskara Vailda pasaku tulkojumos krievu valodā

Bakalaura darbs ir izstrādāts, lai apzinātu gramatiskās pārmaiņas Oskara Vailda pasaku tulkojumiem uz krievu valodu. Tēma tika izvēlēta, jo pēdējā laikā, analizējot daiļliteratūras prozu tulkojumus no angļu valodas uz krievu valodu, mēs saskaramies ar daudzām nesakritībām, jo īpaši gramatikā. Šīs tēmas izvēli noteica nepieciešamība analizēt tieši šī žanra tulkojumus, kā arī konkrētā autora stilu. Gramatisko pārvērtību salīdzinošā analīze, kura tiek izmantota daiļliteratūras tulkošanā no angļu uz krievu valodu, šobrīd ir ļoti būtiska valodas apguvei, īpaši pasaku žanram. Rezultāts ir pierādīt, ka ar gramatisko pārmaiņu palīdzību, tulkotājs autentiski pauž tulkotā teksta nozīmi.

Darba mērķis: noskaidrot, vai, apzinot galvenās problēmas, kas rodas tulkojot tekstu ne dzimtajā valodā, iespējams sasniegt kvalitatīvāku rezultātu. Darbā tiek definēts dzimtās valodas jēdziens, apskatīts dzimtās valodas princips, precizēti galvenie pretargumenti tulkošanai ne dzimtajā valodā, noskaidroti iemesli, kāpēc cilvēki tulko svešvalodās un uzskaitīti galvenie teksta rediģēšanas pamatprincipi. The article traces the evolution of the publishing practice in the field of translations undertaken by Alberto Mondadori after the Second World War. Through some letters of the publisher to his collaborators, the analysis highlights the nature of his choices, which were often motivated not only by the desire to publish complete works, but also by personal and political reasons, such as the desire of self‑affirmation, to introduce himself as a “new publisher in a new era”, in clear antithesis with the past.
