This paper presents the history of the introduction and expansion of arboriculture during the 1st millennium BC from the South of the Iberian Peninsula to the South of France. The earliest evidence of arboriculture at the beginning of the 1st millennium hails from the south of the Iberia from where it spread northward along the peninsula’s eastern edge. The different fruits (grape, olive, fig, almond, pomegranate and apple/pear) arrived together in certain areas in spite of uneven distribution and acceptance by local communities. In this work, we introduce the use of 4-dimethylamino-4'-nitrostilbene (DANS) fluorescent dye for applications in the detection and analysis of microplastics, an impendent source of pollution made of synthetic organic polymers with a size varying from less than 5 mm to nanometer scale. The use of this dye revealed itself as a versatile, fast and sensitive tool for readily discriminate microplastics in water environment. Characterization of key aroma compounds in vegetable proteins foods

International audience; The flavour profile of vegetable proteins food is complex due to the presence of a large number of compounds belonging to different chemical classes. The manufacturing process use many parameters of which temperature plays a role in the generation of volatile compounds.The flavour profile of two vegetable proteins sample (high and low thermal processing) were studied. GC-MS analyses detected and identified 71 aroma compounds (pyrazines, alcohols, ketones, aldehydes) in the two samples. Quantification showed a difference between the two thermal treatments. GC-O analysis described 70 olfactive areas, 39 of which attributed to a chemical compound.

AbstractWe develop a new design for the experimental beauty-contest game (BCG) that is suitable for children in school age and test it with 114 schoolchildren aged 9–11 years as well as with adults. We characterize experimentally the NDR and threshold switching phenomena observed when conical nanopores are immersed in two identical KF solutions at low concentration.
