Los familiares de personas afectadas por la COVID-19 pudieron experimentar mayor impacto emocional durante el confinamiento, más aún si se tenía una imagen muy amenazante del COVID-19. El objetivo fue analizar la relación entre la psicopatología y la percepción de amenaza en familiares de personas afectadas por COVID-19. Participaron 50 familiares de personas afectadas por COVID-19 (84% mujeres), de entre 20 y 63 años (M=36,88; DT=12,73). Tuning a Mamdani Fuzzy Controller with an Imperialist Competitive Algorithm

We have implemented a fuzzy controller with a view to regulating a single-input and single-output second-order linear system. The fuzzy controller was a Mamdami proportional-derivative controller. To determine the parameters of the fuzzy controller we have used an imperialist competitive algorithm. This type of algorithm has a long running time so we implemented also a parallel version of the algorithm that we run on HPC Zamolxes located at the Engineering Faculty of “Lucian Blaga” University from Sibiu. Because we did not have on this computer a version of MATLAB allowing to write parallel algorithms, we implemented the entire application in the C language using the MPI library.

Confusing Head-On Collisions with Precessing Intermediate-Mass Binary Black Hole Mergers

We report a degeneracy between the gravitational-wave signals from quasi-circular precessing black-hole mergers and those from extremely eccentric mergers, namely head-on collisions. Performing model selection on numerically simulated signals of head-on collisions using models for quasi-circular binaries we find that, for signal-to-noise ratios of 15 and 25, typical of Advanced LIGO observations, head-on mergers with respective total masses of $M\in (125,300)M_\odot$ and $M\in (200,440)M_\odot$ would be identified as precessing quasi-circular intermediate-mass black hole binaries, located at a much larger distance. Dual lumen microcatheters (DLMC) have become indispensable tools in the setting of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) of chronic total occlusion (CTO). Other than allowing preservation and treatment of bifurcated coronary branches within or in the proximity of the CTO-body, they enable the use of modified parallel wiring, antegrade dissection and re-entry, collateral selection and retrograde negotiation of the distal CTO-cap. This Euro-CTO consensus document describes current DLMCs and suggests a practical guide to anatomies and techniques in which these devices are applicable.
