The definitions of the main notions related to the quantum inverse scattering methods are given. The Yang-Baxter equation and reflection equations are derived as consistency conditions for the factorizable scattering on the whole line and on the half-line using the Zamolodchikov-Faddeev algebra. Due to the vertex-IRF model correspondence the face model analogue of the ZF-algebra and the IRF reflection equation are written down as well as the $Z_2$-graded and colored algebra forms of the YBE and RE.
Acrylic thermoplastic elastomers and comb-shaped poly(methyl methacrylate) via the macromonomer technique

Comb-shaped poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) and poly(butyl acrylate) (PnBuA) grafted with PMMA were prepared by radical copolymerization of ω-methacryloyl-PMMA with MMA and nBuA, respectively. The comb-shaped PMMA is characterized with respect to radius of gyration by using gel permeation chromatography equipped with a multi-angle laser light scattering detector. The radical copolymerization of the macromonomer with nBuA in toluene follows complex kinetics. They are three female children, aged between 16 months and 3 years, who showed many features in common with severely burnt patients (large exuding lesions, severe reduction of circulating plasmatic volume, large denuded body surfaces, severe tendency to infections, ...). Recent developments in one and two pion production in elementary reactions and few-body systems

In this talk we cover several issues concerning pion production. The first one is the p p ----> p p pi^0 reaction where an alternative explanation based on the off shell extrapolation of the pi N amplitude is offered. A recent model for the gamma N ----> pi pi N reaction is presented and a new kind of exchange current is constructed from it which allows one to address problems like double Delta photoproduction from the deuteron. Finally the (gamma, pi pi) reaction in nuclei is studied and shown to be highly sensitive to the renormalization of the pions in nuclei.

Los trabajos necesarios para la extensión del regadío (la nivelación de terrenos, la construcción y conservación de acequias, y el aforo de aguas) poseían una larga tradición en el antiguo reino de Valencia. Su generalización en el siglo XVIII se debió, al margen de otros factores como el crecimiento demográfico, a la profesionalización de la corporación formada por expertos y agrimensores. En este artículo se resumen los principios en los que se basaban dichos trabajos, se muestra la importancia adquirida por la cartografía generada como consecuencia de los mismos y se estudian algunos ejemplos centrados en torno a la acequia Real del Xúquer.

The aim of this paper is to find some empirical evidence on Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) and Uncovered Interest Parity (UIP) in the Spanish case vis a vis the European Community for the period 1980–89. The main contribution of the paper is the aggregation of the variables corresponding to the countries that participate in the exchange rate mechanism of the European Monetary System. We consider some communication complexity problems which arise when proving lower bounds on the complexity of Boolean functions. In particular, we prove an \(O(\frac{n}{{2\sqrt {\log n} }}\log ^{1/4} n)\)upper bound on 3-party communication complexity of shifts, an O(n e ) upper bound on the multiparty communication complexity of shifts for a polylogarithmic number of parties. These bounds are all significant improvements over ones recently considered “unexpected” by Pudlak [5].

X-ray and atomic force microscopy observations reveal features of the surface morphology of Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) films from discotic donor-acceptor molecules with strong core-to-core interactions caused by a charge-transfer (CT) complexation. The compounds are designed to be twin and triple molecules composed of chemically connected donor (triphenylene) and acceptor (trinitrofluorenone) fragments which display liquid crystalline structure in the bulk state. International audience; The fungal solubilization of cell wall components of sugar-beet pulp, during solid-state fermentation of Thermoascus aurantiacus, is reported here. The extracellular fungal enzyme activities related to the substrate degradation were also studied. In 120 h, more than 60% of the main sugar-beet pulp polysaccharides, i.e. pectins, arabinose- and glucose-containing polysaccharides, were rapidly brought into solution by the fungus. The slow accumulation of monosaccharides compared to the fast degradation of the polysaccharides suggested that most of the released sugars were consumed by the fungus.
