Se present a un caso de extrusión del component e plástic o (polietileno) ocurrido en el transcurso del primer me s del postoperatorio en un pacient e que había sufrido un recambio del component e acetabular. Se destaca el hecho de que cursase de forma asintomática y de que no se acompañase de luxación de la prótesis. A case of disassembly of the polyethylene component of the acetabular cup acurred in a patient one mouth after revision surgery for loosening of a screwed acetabular cup is reported. Special emphasis is made in the asyntomati c clinic and on the no association with dislocation of the femoral component.

International audience; Cet article vise à déterminer, de façon empirique, l'influence des bibliothèques centres documentaires (B.C.D.), sur les acquis cognitifs au niveau du cours préparatoire. L'échantillon étudié est composé de 300 élèves répartis sur 15 classes de Chalon-sur-Saône. Le cadre analytique retenu a englobé les caractéristiques socio-démographiques (C.S.P., fratrie, sexe, âge, ...), et le niveau initial. We have constructed a theoretical optical potential for pionic atoms and low energy pions based on the first and second order terms of a many body expansion on the number of ph excitations. The new density dependence of the potential produces notoriously improved results in the problem of the anomalies. Deeply bound pionic states with the (Sigma-, Lambda) reaction

We study the reactionΣ − +A→Λ + (Aπ −) with the π− bound in the nucleus, as a means of producing deeply bound pionic states in nuclei, so far unobserved. The reaction is similar to the (n, p) reaction but, because of theΣ −, Λ mass difference, it allows the reaction to occur with smaller momentum transfer, thus increasing the transition probability and reducing the effects of distortion. The ratios of signal to background are one to two orders of magnitude better than in the (n, p) reaction.

Nach der ersten Anwendung der Laserenergie zur Herstellung von Ge-fasanastomosen durch JAIN 1979 haben weitere Untersuchungen gezeigt, das diese Technik in Hinblick auf Thrombogenitat, Durchgan-gigkeitsraten, Fremdkorperreaktion und Entwicklung einer Intimahy-perplasie mit der konventionellen Nahttechnik vergleichbar oder dieser sogar uberlegen ist. Die meisten dieser Experimente haben sich im Mikrogefasbereich (< 2 mm) abgespielt, sodas hier die Frage bearbeitet wurde, ob diese Technik auch an groseren Arterien anwendbar ist und im Vergleich zur konventionellen Nahttechnik ein besseres Mitwachsen der Anastomose mit dem Organismus ermoglicht.

Structure and Function of Matrix Components in the Cruciate Ligaments

In the present study, the matrix components of 100 cruciate ligaments were analyzed by conventional electron microscopy, immunohistology, morphometry, and immunoelectron microscopy. The anterior (ACL) and the posterior (PCL) cruciate ligaments contained collagen types III, IV, and VI. Several structural glycoproteins, like fibronectin, laminin, entactin, tenascin, and undulin were detected using monoclonal antibodies. Whereas laminin and entactin were higher concentrated in the PCL, type VI collagen was more frequently found in the ACL. The ACL had a critical nourishment in its distal and middle thirds. Evidence for B$^{0}_{s}$ meson production in Z$^0$ decays

Seven unambiguous events out of a sample of 270 000 Z0 decays, contain in tile same jet a D(s) meson and a muon at large transverse momentum relative to the et axis. These events are direct evidence for B(s)0 meson production in hadronic Z0 decays. The production rate of these events, relative to all hadronic Z0 decays is ( 18 +/- 8) x 10(-5) this number including the relevant branching fractions of the B(s)0 and D(s). The value of the B(s)0 meson lifetime relative to the average B meson lifetime is measured to be 0.8 +/- 0.4.

Two new cases of Spondylo-Costal Dysostosis (SCD) are reported in two siblings with strikingly similar skeletal abnormalities. Parental consanguinity documents in this family an autosomal recessive inheritance of trait. Clinical variability of SCD is discussed on the basis of clinical and radiological features. Its genetic heterogeneity is pointed out even considering the occurrence of cases with autosomal dominant as well as recessive inheritance.
