Cross-border capital flows and information spillovers across the equity and currency markets in emerging economies

This paper presents a novel perspective on the interaction between equity and currency markets in emerging market economies (EMEs) by (i) examining the nonlinear effects of capital flows on return spillovers between the stock and currency markets in a sample of twelve EMEs via the causality-in-quantiles approach of Balcilar et al., (2016), and (ii) providing a comparative analysis of the influence of debt versus equity flows over the spillover patterns. Heteroatom doped metal-free catalysts are one of the most promising replacements for platinum for the alkaline oxygen reduction reaction (ORR). Due to the lack of metal atoms, they are extremely stable and environmentally friendly. However, production of carbon nanomaterials can have a very high CO2 footprint. In this study, we present ORR catalysts made directly from CO2via molten salt CO2 electrolysis. The deposited carbon powder is doped with nitrogen using pyrolysis in the presence of dicyandiamide. This chapter extends the previous knowledge on the effects of migrants’ transnational lifestyle by studying residential patterns and life preferences of Latvian return migrants and arriving foreigners. We aim to explore the geographies and narratives from interviews with migrants who had shifted to more dynamic and prosperous urban/suburban locations. This chapter aims to articulate new ethical possibilities made apparent during experiences of chronic pain, and suggest an ethics of temporality apparent in the mother–child relation. I also aim to bring an understanding of the complexity and diversity of subjectivities in pain and its impact on its social, intersubjective environment. To explore how quality aspects and clients’ verbal behaviors in Motivational Interviewing sessions correspond with counsellors’ support of basic psychological needs described in Self-determination Theory, we conducted a mixed method study with quantitative analyses of transformed qualitative data from counselling sessions.
