Las diferentes técnicas quirúrgicas de elongación ósea empleadas en la actualidad, pueden ser clasificadas según el modo de conseguir la consolidación del segmento elongado(l), o bien atendiendo al método quirúrgico practicado (2,3,4). Siguiendo este segundo criterio, podemos dividirlas en: 1.- Elongación ósea mediante osteotomía y distracción mecánica progresiva. Dependiendo del modo de practicar la osteotomía consideraremos: a) Osteotomía "a cielo abierto" y b) Osteotomía percutánea. 2.- Elongación ósea mediante distracción fisaria.

Freshly isolated human mononuclear cells (5 × 106) were incubated in a Dexter-type long-term bone marrow culture (LTBMC) system to study myelosuppressive effects of cytosine arabinoside (Ara-C) in combination with granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) or interleukin 3 (IL-3). Differential counts (dc) of the nonadherent cell (nac) populations, starting with culture initiation, were performed weekly. After one week of simultaneous incubation of LTBMCs with either cytokine (100 ng/ml) and Ara-C (1 mg/ml), nac numbers were markedly reduced compared to controls. 哺乳動物に見い出される大部分のタンパクは糖タンパクである。それらの糖鎖は生物学的選択性、特に膜上での認識過程に重要な働きをしている。全ての糖タンパクは糖鎖とペプチドとの間にグリコシド結合を有している。それゆえに糖ペプチドの化学合成は、立体特異的なグリコシド結合の生成と、グリコシド結合に影響を与えない選択的な保護が要求される。ベンジルグループとそれらの水素添加による脱離法は、これらの要求を満たす。しかしながら、これらの保護法を用いる方法は糖質の水酸基のブロックを必要とするので、ペプチド部分の官能基は撰択的に脱離可能でそしてベンジル基に対して orthogonal に安定なグループで保護されなければならない。この意味においてフルオレニルメトキシカルボニル (Fmoc) 基と、弱塩基、モルフォリンによる脱離と、パラジウム (0) 触媒によるアリル基転移によって脱離可能なアリルオキシカルボニル (Aloc) 基は、糖ペプチド化学においてアミノ基の保護基として有用である事が明らかにされた。同様なパラジウム (0) の化学を用いるアリルエステルと、酸により除去可能なtert-ブチルエステルはカルボキシル基の保護に有用である事が分かった。ベンジル基とアリルエステル (HYCRAM™) を用いる糖ペプチドの固相合成におけるアンカーシステムとして有効に利用される事が示された。

The heterogeneity of cellular response to therapy is a major problem in non-surgical cancer therapy. This heterogeneity is influenced by both the genetic variability between different tumor cells and by epigenetic, physiological factors, such as the local metabolic milieu. A restriction of tumor microcirculation concomitant with regional hypoxia, nutrient depletion, accumulation of lactate, and an intensified tumor acidosis becomes evident during growth of many solid tumors1. These critical factors can greatly influence the efficiency of various non-surgical tumor therapies.

The need for analytical solutions of the scattering equation for complex situations (polydisperse samples, scattering from non centrosymmetrical particles, etc.) has somehow escaped the attention of the workers in the Small Angle Scattering field, although it is clear that, at the level of sophistication today available for the experiments, a more rigorous approach is necessary. Observable Majoron emission in neutrinoless double beta decay

We consider a class of simplest Majoron models where neutrino- majoron couplings can be in the range $g \sim 10^{-5}-10^{-3}$ leading to the observability of neutrinoless double beta decay with majoron emission. The majoron is a singlet of the electroweak gauge symmetry, thus avoiding conflict with the LEP data on Z decay, which rules out the triplet and doublet majoron models.

It is generally accepted that tumor microcirculation, blood flow, oxygen and nutrient supply, tissue pH distribution, and the bioenergetic status (factors which are usually closely linked and which define the so-called cellular microenvironment) can markedly influence the therapeutic response of malignant tumors. Tumor blood flow is the major determinant for intra-tumor pharmacokinetics and (through modulation of the cellular microenvironment) of pharmacody-namics.
