AbstractThis study examined within and cross-language relations, and specifically, the role of phonological awareness (PA) skills in reading among young Hindi-speaking children (L1) who were learning to read English (L2) in Delhi, India. Data was collected from 143 children in Grades 1 and 2 using measures validated for this population. The analyses examined the associations between L1 and L2 PA and decoding, both within and across the two languages. In the last years, the development of nano-formulations for cancer treatment represents one of the major challenges of the scientific research. The prodrug strategy, that combines chemotherapeutic agents with nanocarriers such as halloysite nanotubes (HNTs), is a promising strategy both to improve the biological activity of the drug molecules and to reduce the side effects of drugs. Herein we report the synthesis and characterization of a HNTs prodrug based on 1,2,3-triazole units covalently linked to HNTs external surface, bearing different positively charged moieties, which could present interesting pharmacological activities.

The paper reports the results of research on the effect of hydrogen penetration on the variations in the mechanical properties of selected aluminum alloys. As a result of the study, it can be observed that such variations contribute to the deterioration of mechanical properties, which, in turn, contributes to shortening the reliability time associated with the operation of aluminum alloy structures.
