La transición entre turnos conversacionales : Silencios, solapamientos e interrupciones

Los silencios, los solapamientos y las interrupciones son los fenómenos más evidentes derivados de las unidades conversacio nales. Se analizan la clasificación y la tipología de estos elementos. El silencio puede clasificarse como pausa, intervalo o lapso, según la posición en la conversación. En los casos de habla simultánea se pueden dar solapamientos colaborativos o competitivos (interrupciones), con una gradación interna regulada por la organización conversacional.

Simulation of first- and second-order transitions in asymmetric polymer mixtures

The critical properties of dense asymmetric binary polymer mixtures are studied by grand canonical simulations within the framework of the 3-dimensional bond fluctuation lattice model. The monomers interact with each other via a potential ranging over the entire first peak of the pair distribution. An asymmetry is realized by giving the ratio of interactions λ = ∈AA/∈BB between monomers of the A-species and of the B-species a value different from 1. Se presentan los resultados de tres test de estabilidad de agregados para dos suelos cuya historia reciente de incendios forestales es desigual. El test CND es el que más claramente muestra las diferencias entre los distintos horizontes y los dos tipos de suelos. El test TDI no ofrece ninguna diferencia entre muestras por la reducida intensidad y duración de la energía empleada, como también sucede con el test UD para el caso de la zona no incendiada recientemente. Se encuentra una clara relación entre incendio y reducción de la estabilidad de los agregados, aunque ésta puede ser debida en parte a las diferencias texturales entre las dos zonas.

Effect of digitonin on membrane-bound and chitosomal chitin synthetase activity in protoplasts from yeast cells ofCandida albicans

The effect of digitonin on chitin synthetase present in membrane (MMF) and cytoplasmic fractions (chitosomes) (CF) from C. albicans yeast protoplasts has been determined. The zymogen is preferentially, but not exclusively, solubilized by digitonin from MMF. Centrifugation of distinct solubilized preparations, containing either zymogen, in vivo active enzyme and/or trypsin activated enzyme, on linear sucrose gradients suggests that both zymogen and trypsin activated enzyme sediment slightly slower than the active enzyme, pointing out differences between the activation processes in vivo and in vitro or, alternatively, that both enzyme activities (active in vivo and zymogenic) correspond to di…

Los autores describen dos pacientes con deslizamiento epifísario en valgo de la extremidad proximal del fémur (epifisiolisis). Este desplazamiento lateral del núcleo epifísario es muy raro habiendo sido publicados muy pocos casos. Abstract Differential scanning calorimetry, alone and in conjunction with Raman spectrophotometry for simultaneous calorimetric and spectral measurements, was used to study the solid state phase transitions of ammonium nitrate between − 50 and 100 °C. On heating, two transition paths were observed between − 40 and 0 °C: one showing two separate peaks in DSC and the other showing a single peak. The latter path became dominant when samples were thermally cycled. The double transition was followed by transition IV →II at 51 °C and the single transition by transitions IV → III → II at about 50 and 87 °C. A newly developed ELISA was used to detect and quantify the presence of a soluble form of intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (sICAM-1) in the circulation of healthy individuals compared with patients with psoriasis vulgaris. Seventeen psoriatic patients were studied. The extent of skin lesions was rated by the psoriasis area and severity index (PASI). Seventeen age- and sex-matched healthy individuals served as controls. Serum levels were measured by an ELISA technique utilizing an anti-ICAM-1 murine monoclonal antibody bound to the solid phase, and a second, peroxidase-conjugated monoclonal antibody reacting with sICAM-1. Two-Dimensional Boundary Layer Equations: High Resolution Capturing Methods

In this paper we apply the piecewise hyperbolic and parabolic essentially non-oscillatory (ENO) capturing schemes (see [2] and [4]) to approximate the solution to the boundary layer equations for two-dimensional incompressible flow. We have tested several numerical examples analyzing their resolutive power and efficiency with respect to small values of the kinematic viscosity of the flow.

XAFS STUDIES OF OCTAHEDRAL AMORPHOUS OXIDES

The relationships between the structures of octahedral and tetrahedral amorphous oxides, studied by XAFS spectroscopy, are considered. It was found that a-WO3, a-MoO3, a-V2O5 thin films and glasses have strongly distorted, but well defined, oxygen octahedra, which are joined by vertices (a-WO3, a-MoO3) or by vertices and edges (a-V2O5), and form a random network. At the same time, a-IrO2 and a-NiO have less distorted oxygen octahedra, which form the rutile type and rock salt type nanocrystalline structures. The variation of the structure with the change of the metal valence is considered and the possibility of small radius polaron detection by XAFS is discussed.

In that situation, it is much more important to control the power of the test rather than the type 1 error risk. This paper makes available by e-mail a SAS ® macro, called BINRISKS, for computing type 1 and type 2 risks for any one-tailed binomial test and for any level of the percentage above chance to be detected. A comparison study of moclobemide and doxepin in major depression with special reference to effects on sexual dysfunction

A double-blind parallel-group comparison study of moclobemide versus doxepin in 237 patients with major depression confirmed that moclobemide was equal in efficacy and better tolerated than doxepin. It was less sedating and caused fewer anticholinergic adverse events as measured by the UKU side-effect rating scale. Unexpectedly, moclobemide therapy more often than doxepin resulted in increased sexual desire. An exploratory analysis of UKU-measured symptoms of impaired sexual function prior to commencement of the study revealed that moclobemide more often than doxepin led to an improvement of reduced libido and impaired erection, ejaculation and orgasm.
