Die Wirksamkeit der Fiskalpolitik ist — insbesondere soweit es die Crowding-out-Kontroverse betrifft — uberwiegend im nationalen Kontext, d.h. im Rahmen von geschlossenen Volkswirtschaften behandelt worden. In der westlichen Welt leben wir jedoch in offenen Volkswirtschaften, in denen der Ausenhandel betrachtliche Ausmase annimmt. Es ist deshalb notwendig, auch die ausenwirtschaftlichen Aspekte bei der Analyse fiskalpolitischer Masnahmen zu berucksichtigen. Insbesondere die Bundesrepublik ist in einem ganz besonderen Mase eine zum Ausland hin offene Wirtschaft.

Die Vermögenswirkungen der Staatsschuld

Die offentlichen Haushalte in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland waren Ende Dezember 1980 mit insgesamt ca. 761 Mrd. DM verschuldet. Ca. 52% dieser Verschuldung war Bundesschuld; die Verschuldung der Lander betrug 32%; der Anteil der Gemeinden an der Gesamtschuld lag bei ca. 15%; ein knappes Prozent der Verschuldung ging zu Lasten des ERP-Sondervermogens. Hinzu kommt noch eine Verschuldung von 87 Mrd. DM der Bundesbahn und der Bundespost, so das die gesamte offentliche Verschuldung Ende Dezember 1985 848 Mrd. DM betrug.

Fibro-osteo-cemental lesions of the jaw bones are a heterogeneous group of diseases which present problems in classification. Psammous desmo-osteoblastoma is one of four newly proposed entities (Makek 1983) and has until now been characterized by its light microscopic, clinical and radiological features. On electron microscopy this tumour exhibits fibroblastic (preosteoblastic), osteoblastic and osteocytic cells and a globular mineralization unlike the mineralization of the psammoma bodies. Die aufschlußfreie Bestimmung von Schwermetallen (Zn, Cd, Pb, Cu) in Getränken (Wein) durch inverse Voltammetrie in einer Durchflußzelle

Digestion-free determination of trace-metals (Zn, Cd, Pb, Cu) in beverages by inverse voltammetry in a flow-through cell equipped with a mercury film-electrode is described. Optimal enrichment potentials are obtained by inspection of the pseudopolarograms of the elements in the original diluted sample solution. After the deposition step in the untreated sample solution stripping is effected in a proper supporting electrolyte after medium exchange. Values obtained by this techniques with various samples compare well with those obtained by usual procedures including wet digestion of the samples.

The series of structurally ordered bimetallic chains formulated as MM′ (EDTA).6H2O, in short (MM′), provides the most versatile known example of 1-dimensional ferrimagnets, since on the same structural support many different magnetic ions (Mn, Co, Ni and Cu(II)) can be selectively accommodated.1 Consequently, many choices of alternating magnetic moments with Heisenberg or Ising exchange couplings can be investigated. Moreover, taking into account that the M-M′ distances along the chain are alternating, this series could show at the same time an alternation of the exchange parameter2.

Fat storing cells (FSC) of rat liver synthesize and secrete fibronectin

Summary Fat storing cells (FSC) of rat liver were isolated and kept in culture for up to 2 weeks. Freshly isolated cells and cells in culture were characterized functionally (vitamin A content) and morphologically. Their synthetic capacity for fibronectin was studied quantitatively by ELISA-measurement and qualitatively by biosynthetic labeling, immunoprecipitation and SDS-PAGE analysis. The synthesis product and the kinetics of the synthesis and secretion were compared with those obtained from culture of hepatocytes. Isolation of HTLV III/LAV from drug addicts in Palermo.

The new human retroviruses HTLV III/LAV, implicated as the causative agent of AIDS, have been isolated from peripheral blood lymphocytes of 5 of 13 drugs abusers with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome-related complex (ARC). In one patient the virus was also found in cell-free plasma. No HTLV III/LAV was detected in or isolated from 5 clinically healthy drug abusers. The lymphocytes were cultured with interleukin 2 and expressed either a transcriptase reverse activity or HTLV III/LAV antigens within 2-3 weeks of cultivation. Two adducts [Sn(CH 3 ) 2 Cl 2 ] 2 pyz ( Ia ) and Sn- (CH 3 ) 2 Br 2 pyz] ( Ib ) (pyz = pyrazine) have been synthesized and characterized in the solid state. Infrared and Mossbauer spectroscopies suggest a five- coordinated species for the Ia complex with an angular CSnC bond and a six-coordinated compound with a linear CSnC bond for the Ib complex. X-ray diffraction studies confirm a distorted trigonal bipyramidal geometry with N, Cl axial atoms and Cl and methyls in the equatorial plane for Ia where the Cl ax SnN bond angle is the lowest one reported to date and the Cl eq Sn bond distance the longest one with regard to similar complexes. Under appropriate conditions the anionic polymerization of methacrylates proceeds in an ideal manner leading to polymers with narrow molecular weight distributions. From the kinetics of polymerization and from the microstructure of the polymers the existence of different active species is concluded, the most important one being a peripherally solvated contact ion pair. Depending on polymerization conditions two different modes of monomer addition can occur. Abstract The syntheses of the natural 4,5-secoeudesmanolide 1 (umbellifolide) and the eudesmanolides 2, 3 and 4 are described. The starting materials are synthetic eudesmane derivatives, the preparation of which from (-)-artemisin had been previously reported.

Abstract The synthesis of heptaleneirontricarbonyl ( 4 ) is described. The structures of 4 and of the closely related heptalenebis(irontricarbonyl) ( 3 ) are elucidated by NMR spectroscopy ( 1H and 13C) and by X-ray crystallography. Compounds 3 and 4 are shown by dynamic NMR to undergo an isodynamic 1 ,2-migration of the Fe(CO3)-groups as well as a carbonyl scrambling. The relevant kinetic data allow for a mechanistic discussion of the dynamics and a comparison with other irontricarbonyl complexes.

Health status of young children with cancer following discontinuation of therapy.

This paper reports late effects and health status of 198 children who had cancer or leukemia diagnosed under 2 years of age and their therapies electively withdrawn. This series (92 neuroblastoma (NBL), 57 Wilms' tumor (WT), 46 acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), and 3 non-Hodgkin's lymphoma) was followed for 1-12 years after discontinuation of therapy. Thirty-three children were diagnosed before 1973, 92 between 1973 and 1977, and 73 after 1977 in 16 Italian Pediatric Oncology Centers. As of December 1983, 176 children were reported to be alive and without evidence of primary cancer by physicians responsible for their care. Diagnosis of a Case of Lipoid Pneumonia by Bronchoalveolar Lavage

Exogenous lipoid pneumonia (ELP) was diagnosed by bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) in a 57-year-old woman with a long history of using oily nose drops. Since clinical and roentgenological presentations are nonspecific, BAL, along with specific staining of recovered alveolar macrophages, represents a safe alternative to more invasive diagnostic procedures whenever a diagnosis of ELP is suspected.

Osteotomias y fracturas del trocanter mayor en la artroplastia total de cadera

A revísíon of the osteotomies and fractures in the greater trochanter in the total hips arthoplasties is made. 39 osteotomies were carried out on 77 reoperations due to failed arthoplasty from 1975 until 1984 and, at the same time, 37 fractures of the greater tronchanter were found in 1677 total hips. The techniques of trochanteric reattachment are described by wiring those most frequently used and we come to the conclusion that these are bearable, as long the separation between fragments does not exceed 2 cm.
