A special emphasis is placed on tumor dedifferentiation which has proved to be of paramount importance for the invasion process. Abstract Neutron scattering on mixtures of deuterated and undeuterated molecules offer a new approach for solving long standing problems of the structure of semicrystalline polymers. A retrospective study of the role of delta agent infection in children with HBsAg-positive chronic hepatitis.

The prevalence of intrahepatic delta antigen and/or anti-delta antibody was retrospectively investigated in 102 children with chronic HBsAg-positive hepatitis who were seen consecutively in three medical institutions between 1974 and 1982. Delta infection markers were found in 13 patients (12.7%) who exhibited high serum titers of anti-delta antibody; intrahepatic delta antigen was detected in ten. Eleven of the 13 children had severe progressive liver disease associated in all but one with absence of hepatitis B virus replication as evaluated by analysis of serum hepatitis B virus DNA. Das polarographische Verhalten des Rheniums(VII) wurde in konzentrierteren PerchlorsaureLosungen untersucht. Zur Bestimmung kleiner Rhenium(VII)-Konzentrationen ist eine 10 M Perchlorsaure geeignet. Die Bestimmung kann mit der Gleichstrom-, Wechselstrom- und differentiellen Pulse-Polarographie durchgefuhrt werden. Mit der Gleichstrompolarographie lassen sich noch 2·10−8 M Re(VII) erfassen. Die Eichkurven sind im Bereich von 5·10−8 bis 6·10−5M linear. Die Temperatur- und Tropfzeitabhangigkeit der polarographischen Strome macht ihren katalytisch/kinetischen Ursprung wahrscheinlich.

The behaviour of (E)- and (Z)-N,N-diphenylhydrazones and O-Methyloximes of 3-benzoyl-5-phenyl-1,2,4-oxadiazole has been studied. When refluxed in benzene, or in dioxane-water (1:1), the (Z)-N,N-diphenylhydrazone 8Z gave the indazole 11 or the substituted semicarbazide 12, respectively. The O-methyloxime 14Z did not give any rearrangement. A criticism of the oximation reaction of 3-benzoyl-5-phenyl-1,2,4-oxadiazole is also reported.

Abstract Weekly dexamethasone suppression tests (DST) were performed in 19 hospitalized patients with major depressive disorder, endogenous subtype, and who had an abnormal DST at admission. Depression scores (Hamilton Rating Scale) and weight changes were collected by investigators who were blind to the test results. The crystal structure of the title compound has been determined from single-crystal x-ray diffraction data. The crystals are tetragonal, space group P42212, withz=2 in a unit cell of dimensionsa=b=9.575(2),c=16.135(5) A. The structure was solved by the usual Patterson and Fourier techniques, and was refined by least-squares analysis to an R value of 0.057 for 545 observed reflexions. Two mepirizole molecules are arranged in a flattened tetrahedral manner (average Cu-N, 1.974 A) around Cu, and coordinated through N atoms.
