Buena prueba de ello es la escasa bibliografía dedicada al estudio de tales recursos en la lengua griega, y su casi total inexistencia en lo que a Aristófanes respecta.

Abordar un período de la historia del cine no resulta empresa fácil. Si durante largos años los historiadores clásicos se han convertido en narradores, admirativos o críticos según los casos, de las producciones del séptimo arte, la moderna aproximación a los textos desde una perspectiva analítica consecuente no se ha detenido lo necesario en las redes que distintos modelos de representación diseñan en una época acotada en el tiempo. El presente texto trata de inscribir en la historia de la vanguardia cinematográfica el proceso que tiene lugar entre tales modelos de representación más abstractos y sus desplazamientos en la concreción de los films, atendiendo al concepto nuclear de montaje.

Effect of intravenous flecainide on atrial vulnerability in man.

Sixteen patients were investigated by means of programmed atrial stimulation at 2 different driving rates: 100/min and 120/min. All patients had an increased atrial vulnerability at both driving rates. After the administration of intravenous flecainide (1 mg/kg bodyweight as a bolus, followed by the same amount infused over a period of 20 minutes), the increased vulnerability was abolished in 11 and 9 patients, respectively. In the remaining patients the rate of induced atrial tachyarrhythmia decreased. These findings correlate with a significant prolongation of the effective refractory period of the right atrium and a corresponding significant shortening of its relative refractory period. …

The phenomenology associated with charged and neutral currents weak interaction will show the success of the standard theory in giving a quantitative account of the existing data. Uncontrolled growth, one of the fundamental properties of malignant tumors, requires a great supply of energy. This energy can be derived from the use of a variety of substrates. Besides glucose oxidation and glucose breakdown to lactic acid, the turnover of endogeneous substrates such as amino acids, free fatty acids and ketone bodies is well documented in vitro. However, under in vivo conditions, only glucose utilization has been investigated in detail, using tumor isotransplants in rodents. For human tumors, only scarce data is available, derived mainly from clinical observations rather than from systematic studies.

Abstract Cycloaddition reactions between 2-vinylthiophen and the dienophiles maleic anhydride, dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate,' methyl propiolate, and methyl acrylate, are reported. Products include simple benzo[b]thiophen carboxylates (6, 13, 17) and reduced derivatives (3, 4, 18). The acetylenic dienophiles also gave a dihydrobenzthienyl-acrylate (16) or -fumarate (11), and the dithienylcyclohexene esters (7) and (14).

Abstract Several pteridines have been tested for their ability to bind to C 18 Sep-Pak. Riboflavin, sepiapterin, deoxysepiapterin, 6-acetyl-7,8-dihydropterin, 6-acetyldihydrohomopterin and 3′-hydroxysepiapterin were strongly retained and all but 6-acetyldihydrohomopterin quantitatively recovered upon elution with 2 ml of methanol. The effect of the concentration and volume of the sample, pH and salt concentration on the retention of sepiapterin have been studied. The procedure was very useful for the purification, desalting, solvent exchange and concentration of pteridines having high affinity for the cartridge. Retinal ultrastructure of neuronal ceroid-lipofuscinosis in the Dalmatian dog

Ultrastructural studies of the retinae in two NCL-affected Dalmatian dogs revealed ubiquitous accumulation of lipopigments in numerous cell types of the retina, the fine structure of which closely resembled that seen in NCL-affected English setters. Photoreceptors and other retinal cell types were largely intact. These findings show that the retinal involvement in NCL of our Dalmatian dogs is identical to that of NCL-affected English setters. It also shows that in canine NCL a severe retinopathy, regularly encountered in human childhood NCL, does not develop.
