Se presenta un caso de un Tumor del Nervio Cubital que suele conocerse en la literatura como Ganglion Intraneural o Quiste mucoide de los nervios, y que es capaz de producir parálisis sensitiva y nerviosa. Se intenta diferenciarlos de los Gangliones sinoviales a través de un estudio de la bibliografía de todas las épocas, considerándose que se trata de degeneraciones del tejido conjuntivo nervioso que conducen a la metaplasia del tejido de sostén endo y perineural con vacuolización de los fibroblastos y producción de sustancia mucoide. The production of isolated photons in hadronic Z decays is measured with the ALEPH detector at LEP using a sample of 450 000 hadronic events. The corrected rate is given for several values of the minimum invariant mass squared cut between the photon and the jets. The case of a 71-year-old man with a primary hepatocellular carcinoma in a non-cirrhotic liver is reported. There were no risk factors of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC)-like liver cirrhosis, alcohol drinking, tobacco smoking, exposure to vinyl chloride, thorotrast, aflatoxin or alpha 1-antitrypsin deficiency. Serologically, the patient was positive for antibodies to the hepatitis B virus (anti-HBc, anti-HBs) and for anti-hepatitis C virus (HCV) antibodies. The effect of various seed bed preparations on hydrodynamic and mechanical parameters was studied experimentally by simulated rainfall on clayeyloamy soils Lauragais, which had developed on chalky molasse on a slope greater than 12 %. The level of soaked up rain ("pluie d'imbibition", Pi) is closely connected to the inital degree of saturation of the soil ; it varies from 10 to 24 mm when the soil is humid and increases when the soil is dry (14 to 47 mm). Mesonic exchange current contribution to K+ nucleus scattering.

A microscopical many-body calculation of the self-energy of a positive kaon interacting with a nucleus is carried out of kinetic energies Tk up to 500MeV. On top of the well know contribution of the impulse approximation, we have considered the kaon coupling to the pions in the nucleus. Previous approximations for the pionic cloud contribution, specially on the imaginary part from the pionic cloud wich were not previously considered. The results for the total and differential cross sections are satisfactory after these new contributions are included, but uncertainties remain in the real part. The influence of Mg(II) and organic solvents on the structure-activity relationship of spleen phosphodiesterase II was analyzed using UV and fluorescence spectroscopies. An increase in the RNase activity found in the presence of Mg(II) was related to the enzyme-Mg(II) interaction detected by UV spectroscopy. In the fluorescence spectra of phosphodiesterase strong hypochromic and bathochromic effects were observed when RNA was present at a concentration (52 μg ml−1) of the same magnitude as the concentration that inhibits the activity (Ki = 40 μg ml−1). We prove that if a DOL language is k-power free then it is circular. By using this result we are able to give an algorithm which decides whether, fixed an integer k≥1, a DOL language is k-power free; we are also able to give a new simpler proof of a result, previously obtained by Ehrenfeucht and Rozenberg, that states that it is decidable whether a DOL language is k-power free for some integer k≥1.

Se presenta un caso de osteocondroma solitario espinal localizado en la zona para-articular de la lámina izquierda de L4 y que producía una lumbociática secundaria a la estenosis del receso lateral. El osteocondroma espinal sintomático es una lesión neoplásica benigna poco frecuente y cuyo tratamiento de elección es la extirpación quirúrgica. A case of solitary spinal osteochondroma growing from the left L4 lamina, close to the facet joint, is presented. The tumor produced a stenosis of the left lateral recess and the patient suffered from low-back and sciatic pain. Symptomatic spinal osteochondroma is a rare beningn tumor, surgical removal being the most useful treatment.

Like macrophages (Mph) DC have been described to originate in the bone marrow (BM) (1). While the cytokine-promoted in vitro differentiation of Mph from BM-cells is well established, a convincing in vitro culture system for propagating mouse DC from BM-cells has not yet been reported. Eight children and young adults with cancer were evaluated serially using pure tone audiometry as well as registration of click-evoked otoacoustic emissions (EOAE) 1 day prior to therapy as well as after various numbers of doses of cisplatinum. A reduction of EOAE-amplitudes following cisplatinum therapy was observed in all patients. This reduction tended to recover after the end of cisplatinum administration. Since EOAE are believed to result from cochlear bio-mechanical processes, the reduced emissions are interpreted as signs of cochlear dysfunction.
