Con el presente artículo pretendo mostrar las principales características que la "cues­tión religiosa" adopta en la sociedad española, y de un modo más específico en la valencia­na, durante la primera década del siglo XX. Una vez presentadas las claves del enfrentamiento "clerical-anticlerical", nos deten­dremos en la Valencia de comienzos del siglo para conocer la dialéctica establecida entre la agrupación política "blasquista", decididamente anticlerical, y el conjunto de fuerzas militantemente católica que se opondrán a la primera.

In einer Reihe von Herbiziden tritt als gemeinsames Strukturelement die Nitrilgruppe auf, wie in 2,6-Dichlorbenzonitril oder 4-Amino-2,3,5,6-tetrafluorbenzonitril. Als ein weiterer Vertreter dieser Strukturklasse ist in unseren jungsten Untersuchungen das 2-Cyanamino-4,6-diethylpyrimidin durch seine herbizide Wirksamkeit aufgefallen. In Fortfuhrung dieser Forschungsrichtung und in Anlehnung an Herbizide, in denen Kernhalogenierungen eine dominierende Rolle spielen, sind nunmehr entsprechende Partialstrukturen in unsere Untersuchungen einbezogen worden.

Immature leaf tissue of Triticum timopheevi Zukh. responded to supplied auxin and showed cell division in culture. The rates of uptake and of metabolism of indole-3-acetic acid and 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid by such tissues were measured and compared with those of mature auxin-unresponsive tissue. The purpose of these experiments was to determine whether or not the concentration of auxin in cultured mature tissue was a factor limiting the cell division response to auxin. The data indicate that neither alterations in rates of uptake nor alterations in rates of metabolism could explain the loss of responsiveness to auxin which apparently occurs during cell differentiation. Neurosurgical Interventions for Intracranial Metastases

In any neurosurgical material among the space-occupying neoplastic lesions in the brain there is an average frequency between 3 and 5% of deposits from malignant tumors of extracranial origin, i.e. metastases1,2,7. Definite regularities exist as regards the frequency with which particular tumors give rise to cerebral metastases and likewise as regards the incidence of solitary metastases (about 50% of cases), while in about a half of these patients we find several metastases. These lesions can involve the cerebral hemispheres, as well as the cerebellum and the brain stem26,28.

Hat die pelvine Lymphadenektomie im Rahmen der radikalen Zystektomie eine therapeutische Bedeutung?

Bei mehr als 270 Zystektomien seit 1968 stellt die pelvine Lymphadenektomie seit 1973 einen integralen Bestandteil der radikalen Zystektomie an unserer Klinik dar. Wir beginnen die Lymphadenektomie mit der Dissektion der iliacalen Lymphknoten, nach cranial bis zur Aortenbifurkation. Sie wird zwischen V.iliaca und Muskulus psoas fortgesetzt, wo die sakrale Lymphknotengruppe entlang des proximalen Anteils des N. obturatorius ausgeraumt wird. Dem Verlauf dieses Nervs folgend, schliest sich die Ausraumung der Fossa obturatoria an, welche die Lymphadenektomie beendet.

Die Tatigkeit des Herzens ist auf die spontane Erregungsbildung im Sinusknoten, die Fortleitung der Erregung und die Koppelung von Erregung und Kontraktion zuruckzufuhren (13). Distribution and chemotaxonomic significance of acetylenic fatty acids in mosses of the dicranales

Abstract Thirty-eight moss species from four families of the order Dicranales were analysed for the fatty acid composition of their acyl lipids. In the Ditrichaceae and the Dicranaceae numerous species were found to contain acetylenic fatty acids in their triglycerides, 9,12,15-Octadecatrien-6-ynoic acid was the major component, often accounting for more than 80 mol%, whereas 9,12-octadecadien-6-ynoic acid was found in small amounts of less than 5 mol%. Myocardial Glutathione Alterations in Acute Coronary Occlusion in the Dog

Glutathione (GSH) decreases in dog mycocardium upon acute coronary occlusion when compared with sham-operated dogs. Total glutathione content (GSHeq = GSH + ZGSSG) remains unchanged throughout the experiment (6 h after surgery) in both sham- and acute coronary occlusion-operated dogs. GSSG and GSH/GSSG ratio increases and decreases respectively in all animals but tends to reach the normal value after 6 h in sham-operated dogs. Both parameters (GSSG and GSH/GSSG ratio) remain altered in acute coronary occlusion-operated ones. This alteration of glutathione status in ischemic myocardium is discussed.

A considerable number of monoclonal antibodies (MoAbs) with myeloid activity have been described during the last few years (summarized in [1]). These MoAbs have been applied to the study of normal myeloid differentiation, as well as to the surface marker analysis of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) [2–6]. Abstract Cycloaddition reactions between 2-(1-cyanoallyl)thiophen and the dienophiles diethyl azodicarboxylate, N-phenylmaleimide , methyl propiolate, and dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate are reported. Products include simple benzo[b] thiophen carboxylates (13,19) and reduced derivatives (8,9,10,12,18), as a mixture of diastereoisomers, except in the adduct with diethyl azodicarboxylate. With dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate a new type of tricyclic compound was also found (20).

On the dynamics of learning in elementary schools. - The statistical results presented in this paper are based on data from a longitudinal survey of elementary school children in the Dijon area. They provide strong support for the hypothesis — which stresses the cumulative aspect of learning, predicting that better mastery of concepts and higher levels of initial learning are inputs which aid in further acquisition of learning — indicating that differences in learning in grade 1 that are attributable to pedagogical inputs exert a large and statistically significant effect on learning in grades 2 and 3.

Zinc accumulation in the telencephalon of lizards.

The zinc concentration in the brains of two species of lizard was determined by atomic-absorption spectrophotometry. The zinc concentration was found to be highest in the telencephalon of Lacerta galloti (21.1 micrograms/g fresh weight) and Podarcis hispanica (16.77 +/- 0.8 micrograms/g) while the mesencephalon and brain stem exhibited lower zinc concentrations, i.e., 7.0 micrograms/g in Lacerta galloti and 6.08 +/- 0.4 micrograms/g in Podarcis hispanica. La existencia de restos arquitectónicos de tipo monumental en la. ermita de la Virgen del Cid ya fue señalada por J. Salvador en 1890. Posteriormente A. Ventura, en 1975, apuntó su posible pertenencia a un mausoleo funerario de época romana. Test Procedures in Configural Frequency Analysis (CFA) Controlling the Local and Multiple Level

The test statistics used until now in the CFA have been developed under the assumption of the overall hypothesis of total independence. Therefore, the multiple test procedures based on these statistics are really only different tests of the overall hypothesis. If one likes to test a special cell hypothesis, one should only assume that this hypothesis is true and not the whole overall hypothesis. Such cell tests can then be used as elements of a multiple test procedure.
